I made a 90 dollar stop at the packy and I am home
I know that a "packy" is the liquor store, but I have never actually heard it used as such here. I have heard "Paki" a few times, but that is more of a derogatory term for those who could be from Pakistan.

My college roommate- who grew up 2.5 hours away in Long Island, NY- had no idea what a package store was. She first thought we were talking about a UPS store. I would never expect anyone in Tennessee to use the term. I have never heard the term ABC store til I started going to Bonnaroo.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I've never heard of a package store either. Where I'm from (WV) we just call it the liqour store, real original, I know. Have heard of ABC though.
And clearly you aren't a rapist (I hope) but the way you pop into any thread where a woman happens to be lamenting her lack of ride to Bonnaroo and tell them to come hop on your bus sounds extremely rapey.
This. Or basically ANY store (NO NO WORD!!! store, grocery store, gas station...). You guys live in places with weird liquor rules.
Yup. Our blue laws are famously bad. Beer in the grocery store- Targets, gas station, etc. are all dry places. Wine and liquor in the package stores ONLY.
EDIT: Actually, they approved Sunday liquor sales this past fall, but it's only like 11-5 and not all places open for it. And they extended sales time to 9 PM a few years back, but a lot places boycott it and still close at 8.
