Anybody know the scientific reasoning behind why upon waking up from a nap, A) your mouth is obnoxiously dry and B) it tastes like you just ate roadkill?
LOL, I have never experienced this. But I'm going to guess it's because you slept with your mouth open, which makes your mouth dry, which leads to the roadkill taste. Dry mouth = funkiness.
But pretty much every nap I've ever taken in my life (at least ones that are more than like 20 minutes) has resulted in this. And it never happens during regular night time sleep.
The bacteria in your mouth eat the microscopic bits of food in your mouth and excrete foul smelling waste. Interestingly enough, that's exactly why you smell after sweating. It's not the liquid sweat that smells, but the waste from he bacteria feeding off of what's in your sweat

so i didn't go to bed till like 4:30am last night and i was thinking i'm a dummy, i'm going to sleep all through sunday and then it will be time to go back to work again. i just woke up and thought god damn it i slept till 7:30pm. what in the hell is wrong with me. but it was really 7:30am. i had to look at three different sources to confirm i wasn't losing my mind.

Speaking of which, I had a sudden craving for butter beans. And I may be the only one on here who was able to extinguish said craving just by opening up her cupboard. I also have hominy, black eyed peas, greens, grits and corn bread readily available should the need arise. #youknowyougrewupcountrywhen
