There are very few sitcoms that I enjoy, and I don't think there are any that I love.
EDIT: I wanted to double check to see if the aforementioned statement was true, so I scanned this list. It didn't occur to me that animation could be a sitcom and Family Guy has been one of my favorite shows since college. I went through all of Sex and the City and liked it well enough. I also watched all of How I Met Your Mother last year and thought it was decent. I am not sure why I watched it all (this was the only one that crossed my mind when I thought of sitcoms I "liked". Also add to the like list: Fresh Prince, The Golden Girls.
So I stand slightly corrected. Still not my favorite. Plenty on that list that I saw a handful of episodes or a season or two, and couldn't keep going (ex. 30 Rock, The Office)
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I dislike Seinfeld only because of Jerry. Everything else about the show I like.
I obsess over 30 Rock the way some obsess over Seinfeld.
Interesting, I've never heard anyone say this before. What do you not like about him?
Thats a hard question to answer. Knee jerk answer is his voice but then I think about it and I really enjoy Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. I know it's a totally different show, but he doesn't bother me there. Maybe it's having the guest as a buffer. He didn't bother me on the episode of 30 Rock he was in, but maybe it's because they were mostly making fun of him.
Short answer: I guess I just don't like his character in the show.
It's just one of those gut reactions of "I don't like this." There is something about Jerry Seinfeld I just don't like.

I like Seinfeld, but Jerry is by far the worst thing about the show. He's not a good actor at all (which they directly pointed out when they did the arc where he and George do the pilot for the sitcom), and the character is really not likeable (although they are all pretty awful people when you think about it).
I'm really bummed that, except for the first season, the Drew Carey Show isn't available streaming or on DVD. I was actually looking it up last night, and apparently, he said in a Reddit AMA that it's an issue with getting the rights to music that they used in the show being too expensive, so nobody thinks they can make their money back off of it.
I prefered wings and the drew carey show to friends back in the day but I'm weird.
The Drew Carey Show was great.
Scrubs is also very high on my list.
I liked both of these but some reason (even though they are all sitcoms) I always separate the shows with laugh track/live audience and the single camera shows like Scrubs, Office, 30 Rock, etc.
So I don't even think of the other ones when this came up but I'd put a lot of the single cam shows as my favorites over the live audience ones.
I've always really liked it and Deto is right that it would have to grow on you a bit (the early days are a little rough to get right into) but the show has had me doubled over with laughter many, many times. A lot of George and Kramer stories always killed me. I do think the show feels outdated a ton, though, because so many situations on the show could be avoided nowadays with cell phones and internet.

I never thought I would be excited about floor and cargo mats for a vehicle. They're arriving tomorrow and I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. My interior is going to be SO protected.
crazykittensmile I would be too! I'm jealous of your nice protected car. I always take notice of the conversations about "how dare he get me a vacuum for Christmas?!" Dude, I would love a new vacuum for Christmas. Keep your flowers, candy, and nice jewelry and buy me a damn knife!
EDIT: I do realize that I am not an example of the majority of the population though.

I used to share the opinion that he was the worst character on the show. For me, he has aged like a fine wine and his being a terrible person is overshadowed by George and Elaine being terrible people because their terrible-ness more often directly impacted other people. Over time, Jerry playing the straight man has really ripened for me. I quote Seinfeld a lot in every day conversations - I'm not a smart person - and I find myself quoting Jerry more than the others.

Someone on inforoo was mentioning sheets for Christmas, and I would LOVE to get sheets as a gift! I think my favorite Christmas gift yet was my Kitchenaid mixer about 10 years ago.

My worst Christmas present was still this MF. Seriously?

If I had animals that left spots, I would be down with that.

The State ran into a similar issue when they were getting ready to release the series on DVD. So most of the skits have completely different music than when they originally aired.

My Kitchenaid and my sewing machine are my two favorite presents ever! I would definitely not want a vacuum, but if I was the person in our house who did any vacuuming, I might feel differently.

My parents still make my sister and I give them a Christmas list every year. I always indulge them because, what the hell, it's kinda fun and I know they appreciate feeling like we're still little kids. My mom was very frustrated to see all of the stuff I want is extremely practical. But if you get me an immersion blender I think of you every time I make a delicious soup, Mom!
To be fair to them I said the thing I want the most is a global entry pass for traveling next year and you can't exactly put that under a Christmas tree.

Last Christmas my mom got me sheets and a comforter and it ended up being my favorite gift from last year. I probably wouldn't have picked out the design/colors myself, but I think it works better in my room than anything I would have picked.

I usually make an Amazon wishlist now. Out of 30 items on my current list, 23 of them are either sewing or cooking/baking related. I'm really hoping for the ice cream maker.
