Was able to snag two tickets for the Wilco Asheville show. Should got in on the fan-club presale yesterday instead of ticketmaster presale...oh well.
Went and saw John Moreland Tuesday night instead of Gary Clark Jr last night because of ticket prices....saw somebody in the Gary Clark FB event page about 90 mins before the show posted he had two tickets for $40 altogether. One ticket from the box office after tax/fees was $43. Really wish I could saw that coming.

Thanks for the heads up! I totally forgot about the presale but was able to snag two really good seats.
A few days ago a friend and I took a job together. We were talking about how much we enjoyed Wilco and they're one of those bands we'd like to see as much as possible. When I got home there was an email waiting from The Fox Theater about Wilco presale tickets. It was one of those, "Well there goes $60" moments.
Got my King Crimson tickets!!! I am beyond excited for this. This is apex bucket list for me, and something I honestly never thought I'd get a chance at. Robert Fripp is one of my all time favorite musicians, and I can't believe that in a full calendar year I will have seen Kanye, Black Sabbath, Aphex Twin, Morrissey, Pixies, U2, Roger, Jay Z, and Crimson for the first time.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

Nice! I felt the same way about KC seeing how they skipped the Deep South every tour since the reunion. You will in no way be disappointed. I knew it would be great but they exceeded my expectations.
Which Sabbath show did you catch? I drove 6-7hrs to Houston to see them solo last year and that was probably my favorite concert experience ever by myself.
Now that I've seen King Crimson ELO is at the top of my bucketlist. Will probably have to catch a plane to see Jeff Lynne since it seems like he's one of those NYC>Chi>LA only artists...

Toyota Center in Nov(?)! Went with my uncle and my cousins, and during me going all out during Fairies Wear Boots he concluded about all my extra curriculars and asked "do you do mushrooms and shit???" to which I replied " I just drove to Tennessee to see the Grateful Dead what do you think". Great show, fun bonding with the fam lol.

Nah, my September is already busy enough. Got Live on the Green, maybe Music Midtown, Father John Misty, and John Mulaney.

Hahahahaha yea, that was the one I went to. Got the sweet black/pink/purple tie dye outside after the show from a street guy too. Didn't have much coolness in my section since I don't speak Spanish.
Are you doing Day for Night this year? You me and Longinus should have a meet up if so.

Foo, let me know if you change your mind. They put on an incredible show.

Me too!!! So excited!! I'm going to see both LCD Soundsystem and King Crimson in the span of about 48 hours!!
Guns N Roses added several more dates to their tour including NYC, Toronto, Nashville, Louisville, Houston and some west coast dates. Some of these had already been announced.

I had heard the rumors and now I'm glad to see it. 2 Waxahatchee shows this year?!? I don't think my heart can take it.
I remember being at the Capital Ale House awhile back visiting my brother, is the music area just a lot bigger than I remember? Seems like it would be small for Waxahatchee in RVA...granted I was pretty sauced.

Not sauced. It's a hole in the wall and my new favorite venue in Richmond. Like 200 capacity, total, if I remember correctly. This year alone I've seen Kevin Morby, Sorority Noise, Jandek and a few local bands. Big ups for getting good shows on $1 burger night and that beer menu.
E: I'm also seeing Beach Fossils and Wolves In The Throne Room there in September and October. These new promoters rule.
