Eeeeee - finally a moment where I can find a positive aspect of having to skip Roo this year and do effing Firefly instead!! I'll see Milo Greene at FF, but mannnnn I'd love to check out that Jenny Lewis date.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
I'm seriously considering ditching out on the Sloss Festival and making the 9 hour drive to Raleigh, NC to see Dinosaur Jr. with Primus.
I'll tell you that I don't think it's worth it for you, if the Primus/Dino show were close to you, it'd be an extremely tough decision, but that drive makes it clear that it's probably best you just go to Sloss because the lineup is pretty damn good and you'll see Primus anyway. Besides, Dino Jr. isn't really worth 18 hours of driving (and that's coming from a big fan)
As a side note, I am such a fan of Dino Jr. That I actually have the limited edition Dinosaur Jr. Nike Dunks. If you've never seen/heard of them, go look this shoes up. They are so tacky and obnoxious, but I love dinosaur jr. and I'm a bit of a sneaker freak so I had to get, though I only have worn them once

The more I look at the Sloss lineup, the more I'm personally underwhelmed by it. We've already seen 90% of the acts that we would want to see, anyways. Besides Dino is my #1 favorite band after the Misfits. Me and the lady friend will probably just make a weekend of it since we've never visited Raleigh.

Ok ok, then it is certainly justified! Have you ever seen Dino live?

Nope, and that's another reason. I wanna see them before J. Mascis decides to call it quits.

Good idea, I saw them back on like 2006 or so and it was great. I got to stage dive and it was a blast. A mosh pit broke out at one point a cd they stopped the show and told them to cut it out, it was kinda funny to see actually

That's crazy! It also amuses me because J. Mascis looks just like this free spirited biology professor from my university.
Chappelle killed it the other night. It was really refreshing to see him back doing stand up to a cool crowd. He also brought out one of his long time friends who happened to be in town at the same time, the harmonica player for Stevie Wonder, to play a harmonica solo real quick after his set. So dope.
Oh shit! M&S just announced a show in a 250-person venue for tomorrow night (well tonight, technically) in NYC! I doubt I'll get a ticket but I'm gonna try like mad to do so. I'm supposed to work 1-9 but I'll find a way to get out of it if I have to.

Just saw Bad Religion. Friend gave me a free ticket since he couldn't go. I wasn't familiar with their stuff except that Infected song but I knew they were an old skate punk band from the late 80s. They were fucking radass!! Definitely would see them again. OFF! opened, who I've seen once before, but I didn't get there in time to see them again. I'm sure they killed it too.
