Yay! are you going to Tower or UT? I made the irresponsible decision and got tix for both shows.
UT looked like it was sold out instantly but I kept hitting the button like a psycho and got through at 10:25. It seems people don't realize that sometimes transactions don't go through due to bad CC or whatever and tix always fall through the cracks later on

That's not irresponsible! Haha, I wish I got for UT but I got tickets for the Tower
For the people around DC, is there usually scalpers at the 9 30 club for a show?
Interested in the Alt-J show on 9/19 (the 2nd show on Thursday.) Not going to pay though what people on Stubhub and Ebay are asking since tickets for the show in Charlotte the next night are still being sold for $30.

Has anyone seen run the jewels yet? Was thinking about picking up a ticket for their show on Thursday. Also having trouble finding a setlist, do they do solo stuff as well.

Speaking of which - I was surprised you did not post about this yesterday:
Yea, I have been meaning to start up a Felice Brothers thread but am just too busy and/or lazy when I get home from work. I am going to try to catch that one-day mini-festival thing.
Has anyone seen run the jewels yet? Was thinking about picking up a ticket for their show on Thursday. Also having trouble finding a setlist, do they do solo stuff as well.
When I saw them in Nashville, Killer Mike did a solo set, then El-P did one, and then they came together in the final set. So you get to hear the key songs from R.A.P. Music and Cancer 4 Cure, as well as their Run the Jewels stuff. Well worth it, in my opinion.

Thanks for the info. They have a couple of opening act listed for this one. But Run the Jewels is pretty short so maybe they just throw a couple of their solo songs in. Saw Killer Mike open for Big Boi this year so no big deal if they don't do a lot of their solo stuff this time.

Damn. I want to see this, but it's on a Tuesday night - and I don't like going to shows on worknights up in Boston.

There were a few opening acts at the show I went to. Some guy was finishing up right as I was arriving, after him came Despot (who guests Tougher Colder Killer on Cancer 4 Cure). Mike and El-P's solo sets are at least as long as, if not longer than the Run the Jewels set. Mike talks a lot, which takes up some time, and then El-P's equipment setup burns quite a bit of time also. There were no solo songs preformed during the Run the Jewels set, as far as I could tell.

Sounds like $20 well spent on my part. Will find out tonight though. And again thanks for the heads up.
So pissed that Killer Mike and Big Boi got cancelled in Mobile. AND that the closest Killer Mike and El-P played to me was 3 hours away this past tuesday night.
