Since it's a given that Radiohead will be at the farm this June, thanks to insider, I should start listing to some Radiohead.
Where should I start?
My ears are virgins to Radiohead (I know, how could this be?) I just never gave them a chance I guess. I mean I have heard OF them just NOT them... if that makes any sense.
My knowledge of Radiohead goes as far as that they are revered by Rooers & that it's Scott Tenorman's favorite band

I would probably start with OK Computer as it is widely regarded as their masterpiece and is the first album that really sounded like what Radiohead would become. Then I would listen to Kid A as it is the next album after OK Computer and the one they really started to experiment on (I consider Kid A personally to be the greatest album ever made). Then I would check out In Rainbows as it is a very accessible album, pretty recent and is really a culmination of all the sounds the band has had. The band was really just in stride for this record and a lot of people consider it their strongest work to date. And then finally at this point I'm you'll already be a fan for life so I'd check out The King of Limbs as it is their most recent album and you'll be hearing a lot of it at Bonnaroo this year.
Once you've digested all that if you're still itching for more get The Bends for their earlier, more straightforward guitar-centric sound before they really came into their own (Still a great album), Hail to the Thief (Sounds like OKC Pt. 2) and Amnesiac (Sounds like Kid Pt. 2, actually is mostly b-sides from the Kid A sessions but still a great album in it's own).
You can just ignore Pablo Honey and pretend like that never happened.
i would say start at pablo honey and just do it all chronologically so you can see the full evolution from 'creep' exploding on the radio to the more refined songwriting on the bends to their angry masterpiece, ok computer, to their shocking reinvention on kid a and amnesiac (when they were already a huge band and absolutely didn't need to) to their much more electronic return to being pissed off with hail to the thief back to the calming bends-kid a mesh of in rainbows into where they are now on king of limbs.
i just love how every album is an evolution except for amnesiac (mostly kid a b-sides so you might as well treat them as a double-album) and i personally feel king of limbs is a bit of a devolution from in rainbows but that could just come from being repeatedly spoiled by this band for a dozen years
I find it funny that the most requested band by inforoo members is finally playing again and their thread fell to the second page.
But anyway, I've given Kid A a few listens. It's an extremely good album, but it just doesn't grab me the way In Rainbows does. But I would put it ahead of King of Limbs. Now that I've listened to those three, where do I go now? OK Computer?

Yeah. If you don't dig Kid A or KoL as much, you'll probably be a big fan of OK Computer and Hail To The Thief.
the only problem with httt is half of the songs are shiz. basically dont listen to tracks 2,4,7,8, or 13. plus every single song is better live. it might just be better to skip httt.
maybe the point with a little less jerkstore sprinkled in would be that a majority of fans hate a bunch songs on httt, but people differ on which songs suck.

But I also agree that HTTT is hit-or-miss (by Radiohead standards) at times.
Also, silentjay, I would have listened to OK Computer before Kid A. Kid A is unlikely to click your first time listening.
The first stuff I heard by Radiohead was "Creep" and then Kid A, and it really turned me off of them for a while. I was like, this music is either boring early-90's alternative, or this weird, ambient nonsense. I finally gave them a second chance, by listening to the non-Pablo Honey discography chronologically and absolutely loved The Bends and OK Computer, so went into Kid A with a much better mindset, and my appreciation for it has only grown with repeated listens.
If so, only by today's standards. Some of the stuff might sound dated, but I think the entire album is pretty amazing if taken in context.
This could be in regards to any Radiohead album.
Disagree. I think OK Computer and Kid A sound as good as any "classic" album. No more dated than Exile on Main St or London Calling or any other timeless album.

Quite possibly the greatest show I've seen.
1. National Anthem 2. Morning Bell 3. My Iron Lung 4. Karma Police 5. Knives Out 6. Permanent Daylight 7. Optimistic 8. How To Disappear Completely 9. Dollars & Cents 10. No Surprises 11. Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box 12. Talk Show Host 13. Pyramid Song 14. Paranoid Android 15. Idioteque 16. Everything In Its Right Place

Punch Up At A Wedding doesn't get nearly the respect it deserves.
I completely agree although I kind of feel that way about half of HTTT, well at least the RH fans that I know. No love for Myxomatosis, Where I End and You Begin, The Gloaming, etc.
In fact, I don't understand the hate towards HTTT at all. Sure it's not as "unique" as Kid A but it was a great follow up as it showed how diverse they really are.
Heres a combination of realistic expectations and a little liberty taken:
