One last note...elated to see Black Star and The Roots billed above Ludacris. No disrespect to the man, but 10 years from now I'll still be spinning "Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star", "Illadelph Halflife" and "Come Alive", scratching my head to name more than two Ludacris tracks.
Yeah, but they are nowhere near pre-headliner big. I mean, not even close. I've posted other times thinking they should be on Which so it's not like I'm underestimating them or don't think they're huge right now, but you're mad. I love them and can't wait to see them on the farm though. I saw them at Outside Lands last year and they quacking packed that place. They've only gotten bigger since. They should be on Which. They won't be pre-headliners.
I'd suggest looking at old lineups and schedules to get an idea of the types of acts that get those slots. You might also want to read around on here more before posting another uninformed assumption. Hope you have a great time at Foster! Seeya there, dude.
Ok so let's say they are around 8ish. I'm trying to think who would be in the 4-7 slots. What insider also considers "headliners". Not major names but big enough to pre. (just trying to get some good ideas going
I felt like an idiot after posting this and getting lit up on here. Now not so much

One more thing to figure out guys: with Beach Boys playing on Sunday according to their dates, who the hell was insider talking about playing on Saturday? She never said specifically they were playing on Saturday, but the ITM post she responded to did mention Saturday.
I hope she comes back and tells us what was up, although I doubt she will. My guess is that they were in talks with Prince or Neil and it fell through. As others have pointed out, though, that top line DOES look like it has a lot of space.
I'm guessing talks fell through with whoever insider was hinting at and instead we'll see two Phish shows.
If that was the case then I think they would have listed it that way. I don't see why we can't add another name but I wouldn't doubt it if another one dropped tomorrow or Friday before tickets went on sale.

I think they would've given some indication that another name/more names were coming later in the week. I think we could definitely get another name in the top 10, but I don't think we'll get it before tix go on sale.
Also, if it IS Jack White (which is definitely possible), it still doesn't solve the mystery of who insider was talking about.

My guess is they fell through and they're going to use money to book mid-level bands. Maybe it's wishful thinking, but it seems odd Insider hinted a major act was taking awhile. I doubt it was the Beach Boys, as AC already signed them for JazzFest so they've been down that route only a month or so ago.
And I still find it odd the lack of 2nd tier names. Last year we saw Primus, MMJ, SCI, Wayne, PL, Bassnectar, Girl Talk, Strokes, Iron & Wine, Alison Krauss, Decemberists, Ray Lamontagne, Florence, Plant, Mumford, Buffalo Springfield, etc. which went way longer than this lineup in terms of big names after the HLs. Avetts are #6 this year...they were #17 in 2010. MMJ was 6 last year. What happened?
