Would you beautiful people be really pissed if I just said......A band who's name starts with an 'R'?????
She said band. So she was not hinting at Waters or some of the other solo acts that have been suggested. They have a band accompanying them, but her wording is usually so careful that I think its safe to assume she meant a full band, and not just one backing a solo act.
That leaves Radiohead, RATM, and RHCP. RATM got paid big bucks for putting on their "final" show, and they'd probably bring in less tickets than the other two, so I believe they are not in play. RHCP are unlikely to play Roo after touring the south heavily just two months before. 3 NC dates and a SC date, plus Duluth and Memphis. I just don't see it. Bonnaroo looks at the return and in this case I doubt there are many potential Bonnaroo goers in the south that would travel in June just for RHCP because they could already see them in April.
Radiohead has a much more sparse tour of the south in the spring, plus they generally bring in a massive crowd and their fan base will go to as many shows as they can possibly get to. It doesnt make sense, given Insider's clues and Bonnaroo's interest for Radiohead not to be there.
Snow Patrol would be an late afternoon/early evening band, either in a prime tent slot or Which. The new album isn't being received well enough critically or commercially to justify anything else.
Fixed.

She has like 20 posts, while I appreciate that you have analyzed them for us I think it is hard to read much into it.

I'm sorry but this makes no sense to me. Y would they play 2 nights at MSG in new york and then at an amphitheatre in chicago? If they played chi it would prolly be the united center imo.
Also, Wanee Festival has The Allman Brothers AND Furthur headlining. I know Allman Brothers have been getting thrown a little bit but any chance they get Furthur alongside Phish? Maybe since this year's potential hip hop headliners are weak compared to the past few years they just fill the spot with another HUGE jam band. Imagine this lineup...

Even more telling, Dickface Mcgee up there has Radiohead playing in Camden, NJ.
To give you an idea of what Camden, NJ is like...if you took The Wire, and applied it to a real place, Camden wins in a "good GOD is this place an awful place to live" contest.

since wikipedia is blacked out, i can't check, but i'd guess that NYMetro has about 3x as many people as Chicagoland.

There's no way that in June RH would play Klipsch Music Center in Indy. They'd play the outdoor venue Verizon Wireless Music center. Its fake people.

Approx twice as many. Chicago metro is about 9 million and NYC metro is around 19 million. I'm kind of a geography nerd.
How many of you idiots also post on At Ease? I probably should have asked this years ago, I've likely been insulting you on another forum without even realizing it.

Obviously new york is bigger but it's chicago. If a band like Radiohead is gonna come through, unless it's a small/intimate show, its gonna be at the united center or allstate arena. They ARE that big and that should go without saying.

I lurk but never post. I know both NoD and mc post.
