No. Just don't see Jack doing something like that. Isn't really his style.
What do you mean? Not arguing, just feel that a guy with like 50 "associated acts" listed on Wiki might not be adverse to jamming with some other elite, elite musicians.

He definitely has that collaborative spirit. I feel like one day we may get a Jack White superjam but I try not to get myself too excited for one every year.
Maybe after he finally releases a solo album or something like that.

Why didn't he sit in with anyone last year? He was certainly there.
Maybe he wasn't asked?
I found it odd that he didn't sit in with Wanda but I think maybe he wanted the acts he was associated with to stand on their own and didn't want to take their spotlight.
Sitting in with someone for a guest song is different than Bonnaroo coming to him and saying "Hey.....we want you to pick musicians and put on a hell of a show for our Superjam".

Wasn't everyone (including myself) sure of it last year with Loretta Lynn, Wanda Jackson and Karen Elson on the line-up? Like ITM said, it may happen one of these years, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I was sure that he would play a song or two at at least one of those shows but we all knew what the Superjam would be ahead of time.

yup. Kinda my point.
Yea but see my other post. It'd be different if Roo came to him and gave him free reign on a Superjam. If he's asked to be the one in the spotlight then I can see him doing it. being up for it.

yeah but you are assuming they haven't asked already.

What's wonderful about this is that I can actually see this happening. It looks like it could be real. Or close to it.

Not really. Maybe they did and it didn't work out for one reason or another. I'm just saying that I don't think Jack White would say "No" because it's "not really his style".
For the record, I'm just an eternal optimist, so I refuse to believe Jack White wouldn't do a Superjam. I'm never going to expect it, but I'm always going to hold out a sliver of hope that it'll happen.

Alberto why would you post this here. This clearly belongs in the Mock Lineup thread not the Headliner Prediction thread. Mods this man needs a warning. You don't want people to think you run a loose ship or next thing you know there will be 50 pages of mindless rambling in here.

Also, while you wouldn't assume this by the amount of Festivals he has played, (Large payouts have something to do with that, I presume), he apparently isn't a fan of festivals for the most part. Too 'impersonal' as far as live music goes.
Not sure if this is that relevant, but it may also show why he doesn't do a lot of sit-ins and such at festivals.
Peculiar guy when it comes to who he likes or relates to.
Yup. I think this is what it comes down to. It would need to be a perfect set of circumstances for him to do it, I think. What does that mean? No clue, but I'm sure they exist out there, floating amongst the cosmos.
