Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I know already I'm going to Hangout fest for free mostly, and hopefully Bonnaroo. And when I mean for free, well, I mean partying rock star status. Jealous yet?
Letting you guys know what's up.
Quit bragging I went to roo for free last year, and there is a good chance I will be this year too.
So I am confused.. Are Black Keys playing in the spot Weezer or Dead Weather had last year.. or are they an actual headliner playing around the time Jay-Z and Stevie did on What last year?

I think Stevie, although I am not positive. The way the six were described as "prime time" and "headliner spots," I think it would be in Stevie's spot.

Hola everyone!
I see the real insider showed up. Yes yes I was full of Leno. At least I gave you guys some excitement LOL (sorry.)
Its a bummer that WSP is closing instead of Furthur but Friday night is so sick it makes up it.
My take after reading thru insiders posts...
Fri - Arcade Fire (HL) ---> MMJ (LN HL) Also on What
Sun - RP & BOJ (Pre HL) ------> WSP (HL)
Those 2 nights seem pretty firm but sat night is where there is a bit of discrepancy. I thought at first she was saying there would be a classic HL on sat night followed by a hip hop act. In a similar sense as Stevie into Jay-Z... Something like The Stones into Outkast...
But by her most recent post it sounds like the main act after The Black Keys (Pre-HL) it will just be the Hip Hop HL. If that's true that is pretty weak for the 10th
Black Keys (Pre HL) ----> Stones/NY/ect (HL)-------- Outkast (LN HL)
SICK
Black Keys (Pre HL) -------- Outkast (HL)
WEAK ------------ (I guess we would have a MA LN on Which to improve this some tho)
I'm sure the Undercard will be sick but if the nights get worse progressively from Fri to Sat to Sun, That is pretty weak for the Roo 10th.
Just doesn't seem right to be to have Dr Dre/Eminem/Outkast to be at the top of the bill for the Bonnaroo 10th aniversery. Got my fingers crossed AC pulls through and gives us the big time classic rock Saturday Night Headliner that would final stamp on festival.
Either way I'm going and its going to be a sick time so I'm not all that worried about it.
also keep in mind when scheduling headliners bonnaroo does it a littler different every year. we almost had dual headliners in 08 with kanye and jack johnson. 09 had beasties vs. david byrne.
2011 could have massive attack going on the which stage between arcade fire and mmj. would piss a lot of people off, but definitely possible.
...and yes i know how silly it seems to figure out scheduling before we even have a lineup.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Ok then she is implying they are in out top six whic still proves my point. Do you really think they will be listed higher at Bonnaroo than the Hangout?
I don't understand why everyone thinks The Black Keys are a headliner. They're in the Dead Weather's spot. They're bigger than The Dead Weather. They were 9th on the lineup. The Raconteurs Pre-HL'd the What and were 10th on the lineup. That seems like exactly where they should be at this point. And that will probably make them lower than they are on Hangout's lineup.
The Black Keys AGAIN says a lot about this line up. I love the band and they have blown up, but if they are a preheadliner, after just playing the year before, I am losing faith in this line up.

The Black Keys are sick and I have loved them for almost 5-6 years now. I love that they are getting successful and blowing up and I wouldn't mind seeing them every year! I hope next year they are an actual headliner and not pre-headliner. They are going to be remembered as one of the great rock bands of all time and linked to this generation. Mark my words on that.

There's no way the Keys are playing Stevie's spot.
It's not like every band on the line up is going to be the same as last year. I have no problem in seeing an amazing band play the same festival over and over again along with different artists... Heck when I was a metal head I did that every single year with Ozzfest!
I think the two scenarios are going to be as follows.
Black Keys in Dead Weather Spot, and This Rap Headliner in Stevie's spot, no Jay Z Spot
or the one I'm betting on
Black Keys in Dead Weather Spot, Name to be announced in Stevie's spot, Rap Headliner in Jay Z's spot.
That would be ideal. But in insiders last post it seemed like she was saying the hip-hop headliner was the main HL on sat night (and still be worked on)
Hmm, I just got freight trained by some spyware on inforoo. Everyone watch out, and remember, do not click ANYWHERE on a box that claims to be an antivirus, if you havent knowingly purchased or installed it. If you see that popup, restart your computer, rather than trying to exit out of it.
Anywho, I still think we got 3 more names to come, maybe not huge, but still decent sized. I only hope that Neil Young is one of them.

That's not how I took it. But that's the thing about reading a post over the internet. Sometimes it can be hard to grasp the context of the text.
