Blakroc would be so awesome. And it would make sense with what that guy who claims to know Pat's dad keeps saying about The Black Keys returning. I don't see them returning after such a high-profile slot, but if they played with Blakroc, that would be a big, unique get for 'roo, and I think a lot of people would love it!
im the one who knows Pat's Dad. the dude who said the black keys would be returning had some other crazy connection i believe. his "roommate's friend's mom is dating one of the black keys' uncle". ive heard nothing about a return to the roo, and i highly doubt it'll happen.

had no idea who black star was, but after looking it up I find this very exciting. Never even knew mos def and talib did a collab The tracks you guys posted sound awesome too. This is the first exciting trustworthy news I've seen for this year.
Like laggy I was pretty unfamiliar with Blackstar, but I've heard bits and pieces and had a few friends suggest them over the years. After checkin' out a few tunes I am totally on board with this! This would most likely be a must see act.
this is perfect for bonnaroo. ive seen Blackstar open up for Tribe back in 98 or 99 and it was awesome! at rock the bells talib came out during mos defs set and did some blackstar songs and his own songs. this should be great!

One of the first shows I ever went to was blackstar opening for tribe, my dad took me and it CHANGED MY LIFE. And Mos Def can do no wrong in my eyes (except 16 Blocks), everything he says is pure truth.

Yea, Kweli was listed #30 in 2008 and if they're playing as Black Star I could see them putting them up much higher. Could be one of (if not THE) main hip hop draw.

I wouldn't be shocked if Black Star and Big Boi are the biggest hip-hop names on the bill, since we already got Jigga and Kanye and Outkast are not touring. I'm not sure if Lil Wayne or Eminem fit Bonnaroo. I guess I could see Drake in the top 10, and maybe The Roots, too.
im thinking its gonna look like this Lauryn Hill, Big Boi, John Legend and The Roots, Blackstar, Das Racist(thursday) and maybe Wiz Khalifa or Drake not that i would be happy about the last two.
None until we learn which acts actually will be there. I definitely think Black Star will have some late night slot like Kweli had in 2008 though. Sharing a late night tent with other rap acts. It just doesn't seem like a day-time act to me.
