Robert Plant is kind of a bummer. I know hes a HUGE name, but unless he's with Zeppelin I'm just not interested...too quiet and folkly. That mightve been ignorant, sorry.
Yes, ignorant. Band of Joy apparently plays tons of Zep live.
They are easily as big as the fourth option Sang. Definitely fit into the second option when you put it in those terms though.
So you really think Arcade Fire is currently as big a band as Jack Johnson,Kanye West, Phish, Beastie Boy, Jay-Z? Come on man... They are about a Wilco at best right now.

So....Suprising and not mentioned: Tom Petty - Haven't heard a lot of discussion regrading him The Cure - Touring and not a ton of speculation Rage Against the Machine - I don't know if they're touring but still haven't been a huge mention. Talking Heads - Doubful... Bowie - I'd say unlikely The Killers - They are headlining Lollapalooza Chile but. With AF confirmed I'd say unlikely...

Looking at a recent set played in DC, 5 of the 21 songs were Zeppelin tracks. Not sure I would classify that as a 'ton' but still a good amount and I would probably check them out.

i guess i can understand your point but its freaking robert plant! zeppelin will never happen. his band of joy is an all star cast of musicians though you're probably not familiar with them. and about 1/3 of their setlists are zeppelin songs just reworked a bit.
Arcade Fire are the whores of the festival scene this year. WSP and Robert Plant has already happened. If Roo doesn't bring a really stacked under card and/or a Great Saturday act, then I will have no trouble skipping this year.

I'm genuinely happy that so many people are excited to see Arcade Fire. Seems like they've made quite an impression on a lot of people. I wish I didn't *hate* everything I've listened to of theirs. It'll let me rest up before MMJ, though
So didn't someone say that they heard SCI confirmed? If Sunday is Robert Plant --> WSP, that puts SCI as a pre-headliner or, more likely, a LN Friday or Saturday like 2007.
