I went, imo you did not miss a whole lot, it was a lot more like a play than a concert for quite a bit of it. Bat Out Of Hell is still up there in albums I love though. Todd Rundgren just tears the guitar parts up on that album.
Not to get off-headliner topic but did anybody see Todd play Jimmy Fallon the other night with The Roots. Killed it and he has a new album out... Bonnaroo?
No but I will have to look that up, Todd is an amazing guitar player.
I thought the yeah yeah yeahs roo set a few years ago was underwhelming. I saw them again at lolla and it didnt change my mind. Different strokes for different folks though.

I have to admit I'm a little confused. With most of its lineup at Roo this year with their own respective acts is M. Ward really that busy that we can't have a MOF set?

this is news to me, have Bright Eyes or MMJ been confrmed?
The 5 she said "3 out of 5" for were Buffalo Springfield, The White Stripes, Furthur, MMJ, Arcade Fire.
She has since denied Arcade Fire, and The White Stripes has become and impossibility.
So she has confirmed Furthur and Buffalo Springfield (or possibly just Neil Young in some form).
Keep in mind she said "some form" and she has asked a question that made it seem like Jack would be at Roo (even though the heartbreaking WS news happened).

So it's possible she was referring to Jack
Oh ok. Yeah, I missed that one. This is turning into her covering her ass a little, though. Her initial post seemed as if she was confirmed 3 of the 5 bands as listed, but there has since been some backtracking.
Remember that guy back in 08 who basically all but insinuated that Jane's Addiction would be the metal act playing at Bonnaroo, then when it turned out to be NIN, a band he had previously eliminated as a possibility, he sort of backtracked and acted as if that was the band he was talking about all along and he was just trying to throw us off the scent.
Yeah...he was full of shit too.

Alright updated my post.
I don't see where she confirms M. Ward though. It seems like she is saying the other 3 (Mogis/Oberst/James) will be there, but Ward will not be on the farm

Yeah...he was full of Leno too.
Edgecrusher, he's still putzing around this board.
Are you talking about Dallas? There are tons of great shows Friday, at least in Denton.
Yeah, I was going to go see Black Tie Affair, but my mom refuses to leave my brother alone in the hotel room so a movie it is. I know Baths and Braids are playing but I'm seeing that show next week in DC.
Builders and the Butchers are playing a club here in Denton, as well as several other great local acts.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.

She's using the form of a question to imply things (which is what I think she did in the White Stripes thread).
I think she's implying that MMJ and Brigh Eyes will be there but yea....won't likely get a MOF set because M. Ward may not be there.
Or maybe she's trying to hint we WILL get a MOF set......which would be a great get for Roo since they aren't touring.
Either way.....I expected Bright Eyes to be back since he's been to Roo already and has a new album out and is touring.
