Some of my favorite under the radar Netflix Instant selections:
Primer Brick Igby Goes Down California Dreamin' Safety Not Guaranteed Like Crazy The Vicious Kind Middle of Nowhere Diggers
Primer... f*ck yes. mayonaise told me Shane Carruth's newest movie, Upstream Color, is on streaming, but I haven't watched it yet. I really enjoyed Brick as well. I liked what they did with crossing Film Noire over to a high school setting. Also, it was one of the first (or the first) movie that showed you Joseph Gordon-Levitt was going to make a successful transition to adult acting.
Safety Not Guaranteed is in my queue too. Need to check out most of the rest of these though.

Upstream Color has been showing up as a recommendation for me. I didn't realize it was by Carruth, I'll be moving it up my queue.
I have 400+ titles in my instant queue. Everything from Troma to Billy Wilder to Top 50 WWE Superstars to Rocko's Modern Life to Werner Herzog docs to Cosmos with Carl Sagan.
That's what my wife and I just started in on. First episode was a real trip; I was expecting more of a documentary, and less of Sagan cruising around in a spaceship. But, it was certainly perplexing enough to want to watch more.

Just finished watching Snow on tha Bluff, a mockumentary/documentary set in the Bluff in ATL. The film makers are coy about what scenes are real and what aren't, but obviously some of it isn't. Michael K. Williams (omar) is the executive producer. If you are interested at all in the street level drug trade you should consider watching it. Two hours long and it just flew by for me. Not fantastic by any means, but a solid flick.

I really enjoyed this. It does a good job humanizing "the streets" and getting past the typical media portrayal, much like The Wire.
Then again I've never lived on "the streets" so I could be totally wrong.

I watched that last year with my friend at her apt in ATL and it was definitely interesting to see, especially since we'd just been near the Bluff that day.

Right now I have both streaming and DVDs. Gonna cancel the DVDs soon since I've only been using them for TV shows; but before I do that does anyone have good suggestions of DVD only movies/shows to watch?

I was bored and watched Kings Of Leon: Talahina Sky on Instant last night. I had no idea their upbringing was so backwoods. It's an interesting documentary using old tour footage to piece together their rise to fame with recent footage of them visiting the family in Oklahoma in some type of junkyard family plot of land. The bickering is sometimes funny and it was neat to see Grandma and Grandpa Followill journey to Oklahoma City to see the boys play at the Ford Center. Even if you're not a fan it's entertaining.
