But don't be surprised if it's Radiohead-Daft Punk-Velvet Underground. That from someone "in the know." They're thinking they have the headliners locked down because of how early the dates have been announced since they usually announce them super late.
That would be beyond huge, but I'm skeptical. Even if it did happen, I'd worry over the quality, as I am of the opinion that Lou Reed has totally lost it. It'd be nice to see John Cale, though (IMO, the most talented of VU).

THE VELVET UNDERGROUND?!?!?!
I have not been to Coachella or even to Cali since I was 2 (actually born in San Diego), but if this is the case, I will start saving $$$ for my plane ticket and get out there in a heartbeat. Jesus...if those three are indeed the headliners...

I am gonna try and make it back next year, I am hoping to combine it with a California road trip, but i doubt i can do that with school. A lot has changed at Coachella since 2007.
Hopefully Bonnaroo gets Arcade Fire and Coachella gets the 3 above. I left Arcade Fire early in 2007 during some of the boring Neon Bible songs to go see what Girl Talk was about and missed Justice also. I need some redemption on those 2 although Girl Talk for the first time was fun as hell.

Over at the Coachella message boards, I read something that rumored Arcade Fire would be the pre-headliners for Radiohead. If that happens, AC better have some serious tricks up their sleeves if they want to top the Coachella lineup.
For awhile now, my girlfriend and I have been talking about adding another festival to the Bonnaroo and Lolla mix. Coachella and Glasto being the main contenders. If those are the headliners, we'll see all of you in Cali next April.
I'm tempted to take a week or 2 off and go to Coachella in the middle... it's right around my birthday and I'm hoping my friends will move out there in time for it. Can visit friends, family, go to Coachella, AND celebrate my birthday.

If VU is indeed doing Coachella...at the very least it'll push AC to really beef up the line up for Bonnaroo 2011. I can imagine they don't want to be so badly upstaged by the Coachella lineup on their 10th anniversary, and VU will be awfully tough to match.
Unless, of course, Roo gets The VU as well...That'd be so nuts.
WILD HORSES: During his recent press junket promoting Life, Keith Richards had no definitive answer to the constant questions about the Rolling Stones’ touring plans, but something was then in the process of going down, whether he knew about it (likely) or not. We’ve just learned that the Stones team is very close to finalizing a deal that would bring them to Coachella next April. According to our sources, they’ll pick up a cool $5 million for playing the date; Paul McCartney pocketed $3.5 million for playing Coachella in 2009. This is the biggest booking coup yet for Coachella kingpin Paul Tollett, whose fest has served as a launch pad for numerous big-name tours in the past. Can you say “sold out”?
Add this to the heavy Daft Punk, Arcade Fire, and Beastie Boys rumors, and you have a nice top line.
Ok, their are conflicting reports if this will be their last tour, so not sure about that aspect. Regardless, I hope roo books radiohead and a bunch of different headliners, that way I can justify both festivals.
