I would say it was when I left The Black Keys w/my friends who wanted to see the Flaming Lips and being astounded at the party over at Bassnectar. I had never even heard of bassnectar before and I was blown away at the sight. The whole time I'm walking over to the Flaming Lips I'm thinking I just NEED to be at bassnectar. So I left them about 3 songs in and had the time of my life dancing like a villain until the set ended. The crowd was nuts and I loved it.
^ I caught the end of that show after The Keys and u r right, it was off the chain. The light show is what sucked me in.

saturday night, after catching a bit of gwar's theatrics, and not finding the peace i was craving at deadmou5
i made my way towards the nearly empty fountain where i had a nice long sit-down
moments later a caravan of golf carts pulled up to the fountain - carrying what seemed to be the whole band/cast of gwar, accompanied by an already drenched margaret cho and dozens of very enthusiastic fans
the fountain was suddenly FULL OF SCREAMING BLOODY PEOPLE both in costume and not - washing their faux plasma redness into the fountain's recirculated waters
Looking like a fool dancing away in the am's of saturday night at the lunar stage, walking like a fool that morning out of centeroo, noticed mounties straight ahead so I straightened up real good even though they clearly saw me messing around. They didn't bother me and the golf cart behind them high-fived me. Later that day while still a little tipsy I took a nap at centeroo, but for some reason I was sleeping with my eyes open so a guard shook me up thinking I was out of my mind and asked me where I was.
And somebody almost getting busted by the mounties, sprints away and slips into the tents, keeps running, all the mountie can do is watch, then the kid runs into the fence he didn't know about.

I would say for me, the best moment was waiting 6 hours for front dead center rail at LCD, was amazing to the fullest extent and I couldn't have asked for a better spot and set.
Funnest thing was completely tripping people out with my Bunny mask on for the late night sets on Saturday. Some reactions that people have are just priceless.

On Thursday night, jhointn, mayonaise, mayo's brother, and I (and maybe some others? I don't remember) ventured into the Silent Disco for our long-overdue first experience therein. As it turned out, we were there for the Gypsyphonic Disko hour(s). We did not realize that beforehand, but when we consulted our schedules afterwards we finally understood the music we were hearing. But the experience was summed up by one guy we overheard on our way out:
A Thieve's Parade 2/24 Conspirator 2/26 Kevin Smith 3/11 Keller 3/17 Papadosio 3/18 JJ Grey 3/25 Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer 3/26 Toubab Krewe 3/27 O'Death 4/11 Budos Band 4/22 EOTO 4/28 Summer Camp 5/6-29 All Good

Did anybody feel the power of POW! at the farm???? I know that's what I'll remember the most from this year
"Give me some pow man" (random guy points at you while making a "fist bump" gesture) Just as your fist hits his, he jumps in the air and screams: POW!!!!
What the hell was that chick thinking wearing jeans during the day at Bonnaroo? I saw that dude in the pink undies a couple times.
probably that she didn't wanna get burnt. I know I wore jeans for post-show cleanup. Saved my skin. It's really not much hotter at all (for chicks, anyway.), sometimes even seems a little cooler.

So about 9:30 on Friday, I walked straight up to the rail for Bassnectar and LCD Soundsystem. After the crazy party/corn and water swap of Bassnectar everybody settled for a half hour to wait for LCD.
I had saved some corn for this occasion and passed it to my gf and a tall blonde dude and his girlfriend to my right. We traded exclamations about how awesome the show was about to be. But mentioned that he hadn't drank anything in quite some time.
The next thing I know, he leans to his girlfriend, says he doesn't feel good and falls straight backwards on to the ground. Everybody looks at each other in shock before somebody screams for security. But just as security gets there, he sits straight up and doesn't remember anything.
He was given some water and exited the crowd hastily. But dude if you happen to come on here, I'm sorry! I felt partially responsible, and it put a slight damper on the awesomeness of LCD. I hope he still got to see it...

This year, mine was my Thursday night "take a noob to the Silent Disco" ritual. Danger7 and I had been awake for at least 24h, stuuupid drunk by sundown, and took our new friend from Pennsylvania to the Silent Disco. We had our asheville brewing co. bandana masks on and made a true spectacle of ourselves. Dancing like we were auditioning for "So You Think You Can Dance (like Corky)?", and crowd-pleasing favorites like pretending one was a T-Rex chasing (the other) a chicken, the elbow-ear shuffle, etc... We were laughing with the people who were certainly laughing AT us. I think our friend was a bit embarrassed. As a matter of fact, I don't remember seeing him much for the rest of the weekend. Oh well. You either bonnaroo or you don't...

i need to go to the silent disco next year... i'll be practicing my sweet monkey dance moves
and the patron thing- yeah i did that for a minute and then i was like ohhh....
except my roomie was convinced it was actually patron, my argument was that if patron had sponsored anything we'd be able to find some tequila in centeroo o_0
this was our first year and even though we read all the advice and decided to pace ourselves the first thing we did when we got set up was have two of our group have a drinking competition... and then the awesome began
seriously we got out and we were playing really shitty soccer where the main goal was to keep our beer up and meeting people down our row, we had awesome neighbors. we were waving and talking to the cars coming in, first few hours at roo and i already knew what all the hype was about
I know it's from Family Guy but does anyone know how it become so popular over the weekend? I had people in my crew yelling it and I can't for the life of me figure out how or why.

I was totally center rail for this and the awesome party that we had going on before the show.
I was the guy that had the whole glow in the dark back piece with the mushroom done and the one in spandex, yeah that was me.

Anywhere there is a large group of 18-34 year olds, you will hear this term. It was yelled at Roth, Roo last year, I heard it at DMB and Phish as well. You'll probably hear it for years to come. It's funny....for awhile.

I guess for me one of my favorite moments was when I encountered an older gentleman ten minutes after Jay-z. I would say he was over 55 years old but not over 70. I said "How did you like that'" He says "That rocked!" as he high-fived me.
She was wearing jeans due to allergies from the pesticides/grass. She only wore them at night, in that pic it was 5:45 AM...we stayed out a little to long

Trying to leave Centeroo Saturday night was the best memory I can recall. MUST GET TO PURPLE TAGGED WALL! When I finally made it and the crowd actually bottle-necked down to where i was walking next to someone....I was walking next to some older (60+) couple. They thought I was funny and laughed at me....then I laughed back and said "Isn't this place beautiful at night?" I am not sure how it came out but I know that is what was stated! Good times.
i was headed in eastbound I-24, was sent to 127 and was coming back up the back road. there was house on the way that had a dude and his old school house speakers set up in the front yard. He was blasting metal at all the cars...the speakers were badly blown, he was sunburnt to a crisp, and was playing the air guitar mixed in with some awesome hand gestures. he then threated to kick anyone's ass who got out of their car...he was hammered and it was awesome! if my camera wasn't buried i would have videotaped it! it was a good sign of things to come...so naturally i got out of my car, had a beer, and just drank in the spectacle.
Ahahaha, me and my bf have been telling people about this all week! I even went on youtube looking for a video to show friends...no luck tho..anyways yes this was one of the most hilarious things I have ever seen. The weights on the front porch really were the icing on this fruitcake!
Imagine being this guy's neighbor?!
My most memorable part of Roo' was singing I and Love and You with the Avett Brothers at the end of the show, simply amazing!!!...also when my bf and I left early on Sunday, we drove away from the farm into the sunset...

Mine was probably at the Franti/Spearhead show. We were right up on the center rail on the right with a perfect view. Michael surprised the hell out of everyone with not 1, not 2, but 3 or more appearances out in the audience. During Yell Fire, I turned to my brother who had my camera and realized seconds later that Michael was less than 2 ft. away from me....we were all raging with him as the leader! It was insane......what a terrific, awesome experience with an artist that epitomizes thought provoking lyrics with high energy music! Loved it!!
Wednesday night settin' up camp and meetin' our amazin' neighbors fer the weekend. Team Canada and Team Texas made a great weekend even better! Also wanderin' around with my buddy Zack fer a few hours after everyone else called it quits just to explore the 007 camps with a virgin 'Rooer was a lot of fun that night. Met some other great cool people! Lotus melting my face on Thursday night will also be unforgettable!

Walking across the gap between Other and Lunar with a friend. we were leaving Bisco for whoever was at Lunar, two other people are walking towards us from the opposite side. All four of us notice each other and dance until we meet up, we dance more, and then continue on our respective paths.
Asking a guy who had just ended at whichever tent was nearest to us. He looked at me as if the world was about to end, I smiled and said "never mind" and told him everything's OK you're at bonnaroo. He smiled and I left.
Some guy came by our campsite yelling at us to look at one of the floating lanterns. He thought it was a missile. When all those lanterns at Dave were released my campsite was laughing saying "The russians are at it again!"
Singing along to Hare Krsna with two random chicks at Thievery.
The Cookie-Monster-on-a-stick at the lunar stage the morning after Deadmau5. The guy holding the stick would shake it and then the stuffing would come out of it, it looked like it was snowing. Oh and the same guy was also blowing a whistle throughout the set in sync to the music. Until I saw him I just thought kaskade or whoever had a whistle loop going.
Being part of a short-lived , but still impressive, dance train at Lunar.

Bassnectar. Me and My friend Amanda were trying "something" for the first time and were so happy and excited and enthralled by the awesome crowd of great people and music, we held hands and skipped to bassnectar. Not the whole way but a good amount. haha We painted our faces and connected glow sticks all over our bodies and danced the night away. One of the most awesome experiences ever.

While passing underneath an overpass on the way in there was a guy sitting on the gravel under the shade reading a book by my favorite author, Philip K.Dick. He was reading Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, which was the first PkD book I ever read. I got his attention and said something to the effect of "I love that book" and he laughed and nodded. Quickest bonnaroo friend I've ever met.
