Spicy Pie, Arepas, and my favorite was Friday morning just taking some time to readjust myself after LCD soundsystem I took a walk down shakedown, and found a Chinese place. The lady had an accent so I decided to try some of my marginal Cantonese with her. I told her my GF was teaching me, and how much I like the Chinese food she cooks. She hooked me up with some awesome soup with crab wontons in it. I felt 100% revitalized after that, and she did not even make fun of my atrocious language skills.

As vegetarians me and my bb HAD TO TRY everything we can't find back in floriduh. So we brought enough money to indulge. We tried to eat light so we didn't use the porta johns (even though we took enough imodium to back up an elephant)
The corndogs were awesome, the grilled cheese saved our ass even though they went from $1 for one to $3 for 2!!! I tried the mozzadilla for the first time it was amazing and of course: SWEET POTATO FRIES nom nom nom nom want them in my mouf now. I had spicy pie and I wasn't blown away it was good. There was another one that was $10 a slice I just kept walking. I didn't see any veggie burger stands Anthony was in hot pursuit for one
The only full meal we had was at a Jamaican Hut near the What stage we had some jerk tofu and bbq mock chicken it was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good with plantains and rice forget it - I was in heaven.

I'm really sad I didn't try the spinach quesadillas until my last night down because they were hands down the most amazing thing I ate all weekend. With the carrot salsa & sour cream. Mmmmmm. Also, the dollar grilled cheeses are made and served by bonnaroo angels. Fricken angels I tell ya! Spicy Pie let me down on 2/3 occasions this year though I normally love it. And I must remember to stick to the sonic cafe or campsite vendors for my breakfast burritos as the one I bought on shakedown was definitely not up to snuff. Great...now I'm hungry.
I <3 Spicy Pie! haha. I actually call it that while at Bonnaroo. "I want some I Heart Spicy Pie!" I tried the Samosas this year too. Yum! I had a chicken cheese and a potato. Also spent 10$ on a gyro that wasn't too impressive, but OK. Tzatziki sauce more like runny mayonnaise.
The pesto mozzadilla and feta medadilla were both good, but I much preferred the stand in Centeroo to the stand on 3rd. The guy working the flat most of the weekend was a jerk to everyone.
and my new favorite find this year... FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE such refreshing icy goodness. these were found at the cafe next to the sonic stage, which also sold the BEST fruit smoothies in the whole place. a million times better than the ones at the small stands, which seemed to be made with unripened fruit and a weak blender.
Pesto mozzadilla - I felt like they were even better this year
Spicy pie - my friend bought two pieces for her husband while waiting for Stevie but he only wanted one so she gave it to me. Somehow that made it taste even better

As a volunteer and also since I'm broke in real life, I was working off 3 food tokens. But the alligator burrito from Outback Kate's blew my freaking mind! Also good was the wood-fire flatbread pizza from the place next to the brooer's tent.
I hope to have actual money to invest in culinary goodness next year.
Pesto is my complete and total culinary weakness. Someone please tell me more about these pesto mozzadillas! I must track one down next year!

Pesto is my weakness too! They are so yum! A quesadilla with pesto, mozzarella, tomato and spinach. There were two booths. One on Shakedown and one in Centeroo. You should definitely grab one next year.

Wow... I didn't know something vegetarian could possibly sound that good! Wow! Must have!!!!! I wonder how I can find out where else that vendor plans to appear...
The pesto mozzadilla is definitely my favorite - so nommy! I need to figure out how to make it at home. The one I tried also had sliced bell peppers inside. Also, the garlic grilled cheese with tomato is a must.

It's amazing, especially before those late night sets to get you going. I think Bearly Edible is also going to be working All Good but I'm not sure what other festies they'll be hitting.

Spicy Pie...I can't even count how many slices I bought. I even had it for breakfast one day. When I got home, I bought a slice after a Mumford show at a local spot which is usually really good. It was flavorless compared to Spicy Pie.
Of course, i had the cajun meat trio again. Wonderful as always.
I can't remember what else I ate. Nothing disappointed.
Ah just remembered I had a grilled cheese from Bearly edible. It was ok but the employees were extremely rude and reeeeaaaally slow. I didn't go back there after Friday which is a shame because their food is usually soooo good.

Spicy potato samosa! Funny story about that one....I was so hungry when we were settling in to watch some of Phoenix. I saw something interesting to eat and followed the plates back to the vendor. I had enough dough to snag 1.....gone in like 4 bites. Tasty! Some people walking by were laughing at me and my voracious appetite. I also did try the gator and I liked very much. It would have tasted better with ketchup. (I only tried a little bit of it) Oh yeah another one that was awesome was the jerk chicken. I shared some of it with the cool volunteer dude sitting next to me.

Ate at that place Sunday night. They had a blackened chicken plate that was really good. The steamed veggies there were nice, too.
the thai chicken is always my favorite, also had a pretty good bbq sandwich and one good burger, one bad one, can't go wrong with corndogs. the only thing i didn't like was the spicy pie.

I always say I am gonna try something new then I always find myself in front of an I heart spicy pie, praters, or corndog stand. I am gonna venture out one year.
BTW earlier this year before this roo I asked what is spicy pie. I realized this year it is the pizza I have been eating for 3 years. Just never paid attention to the signs.
