Most of the DJs there were awesome and I found myself spending alot of my downtime there. That being said, I got kinda sick right before Dan Deacon, who I waited for about an hour and a half to get a good spot for, and ended up watching him from the side. Would have been awesome if his tent wasn't battling the lunar stage for volume... guess I'll see him some other time.
Otherwise, I really enjoyed Bonnaroo this year. Everyone seems to be hating on it, and it was by no means the most smoothly run one ever, but I had an absolutely wonderful time, and I'm sorry if you guys didnt.
I agree that the stage is a good idea, and i spent Thursday late night, Friday till about 6am and some saturday night but i got to be real annoying that no matter where you were at you heard the constant bass. Even while i was sitting in front of the What Stage.
So i think the general concensus is that the stage is a good idea but the location was horrible, the volume was too loud, and it can be heard from too much of the site for such a small stage. and that it overpowered the artists in the surrounding stages if you were in the wrong spot. So how can we get these comments to those who matter? I mean they had to have noticed though, right?

Absolutely loved the music. After going back to camp Thursday and not being able to go sleep (not due to the lunar stage's volume, I was just restless) I decided to go back for some great early morning electronic music. Then I got to relive Paul Oakenfold morning after Deadmau5/Disco Biscuits. By the second day I knew to be on the left side of This and the right side of That.
Lunar Stage was an incredible addition, the stage just needs to be raised and the volume turned down a bit. Maybe a location change if possible.

i LOVED this years festival, just like last year + just like i will next year, but the Lunar Stage was a fantastic surprise! best dancing stage of the weekend. please bring it back!!
The Lunar Stage was going off at night. There was so much energy and dancing lights it was blowing my mind. The sound bleed at this and other was bad but getting under the tent or the opposite side and it was no problem. I also liked the NBA finals outside. Rockband however was a horrible idea.

See, now I absolutely LOVED the lunar stage, this was my 3rd Roo and every since my first Roo I wanted something like this... but then again I'm a Chicago House Music kid from WAY back...
I do understand some of your concerns with the sound bleeding though, I had to watch GWAR from an odd angle do to being able to hear the Lunar Stage...
And as for it's placement, it is in the excact same spot as the X-box Arcade Tent isn't it?? Which has had late nite DJ's the last couple years...
as one of the many guilty of banging it out at the lunar stage... EVERY NIGHT.. till sunrise

but totally agreed the PA's were up way too loud all weekend, lol, Tents SHOULD be louder then new side stage and the sound bleed during Deadmau5 was kinda hilarious. Half of the time it would run in phase and then match up, and then double up and then back, yadda yadda....

Move the Lunar stage. Keep it loud as hell. Get a bigger screen so I can actually watch the games. Extend the size of the tent or add some artificial cover for shade. Please stop taking up stage time with video games. I saw Dieselboy there the first night and it was so awesome i think I went blind for a minute. Other than these complaints I love the idea and they should def. keep it

The Lunar Stage was a good idea badly executed. It's completely unacceptable for it to be drowning out music in the featured tents. The Rock Band stuff was pure crap.
I spent some time at the lunar stage...and yes that sucker was loud. Crystal Method was LOUD! I had to move back after I was at the rail. I think it should stay, and move it somewhere else....probably even put a tent around it. This place was fun.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
I don't know why people didn't just go to the opposite side of the This/That tent from the Lunar. I never had a problem hearing the Lunar Stage until I was out away from This/That tent. I thought the Lunar was really fun late at night.
yup. i was stayin in the Barn and it was serrrriously too loud and couldn't sleep. aimed directly into the Barn and obnoxiously loud. made it hard to stay awake during the later part of the fest. they should move it somewhere else. I liked havin that stage in general, but the location coulda been better. clashing sounds from This Tent and The Other Tent didnt help either.

We were in out in the BF of BFE Camp Rusty 'Trombone' Griswald 2 rows from the back fence. The first night I also thought someone was DJing from a camp. I told myself 'Somebody over in Dr No is straight killing it'. I don't mind techno at all but I easily heard every beat from inside my tent. Over a mile away. Until 6 AM. Every single night.

it was really nice. i felt like i was in the Real World or something. they decked it out with white furniture and cool lights and stuff. 2 big changing rooms in the middle. a big long row of air mattresses with fleece blankets they let us keep, along with lots of fuse/twix freebies. access to nice, cold AC in the middle of centeroo was great, and we had our own fridge that they stocked with water and we had so many Twix Java bars that we gave some away to people hangin out near the Barn. it was great... just... friggin couldn't get any sleep there with Lunar stage aimed riiight into the Barn. 4 hours at most, and i think that was still disrupted sleep, but then again...im a light sleeper and its kinda part of the whole Roo experience. Dawes even did a meet and greet there which was nice. All in all I loved it with the convenience and AC and private portos shared with a few vendors and fuse people. I just am pissed they wouldn't let me go home on my own Sunday. super pissed. we're not minors.
but yeah... i wonder where they could relocate the stage... hmm...
