So this is going to sound crazy, but is there anyone who is planning on going on regular runs while at bonnaroo? This will be my third time going and volunteering, and I've definitely seen runners before. I'm in the middle of marathon training and would love to hear from others planning on running. I know the weather can be nuts, but whta do you think?
i was thinking about this, maybe not a full run, but maybe a good jog in the morning before the yoga classes. sounds like a good way to wake up in the morning. maybe a run to get conan tickets might do just as well too.
I'm volunteering as well (pre-fest) and will most likely squeeze in a couple of runs before the gates open late Wednesday. It would be pretty challenging and dangerous to run the roads while 50K folks invade the farm en masse. Definitely would recommend running early in the morning before it gets hot...
i'm volunteering post show and may be up for running during and after roo. depends on how much i party before hand. at least during the the clean up i'll probably run for sure

I'm a collegiate runner at a small school in Ohio. looking to run anywhere from 5-8 miles every morning. Love to tred some miles around the bonnaroo grounds if you like to meet up.

I'm impressed with you guys but I think you're insane as well. I had a look of.....I don't know what.....when I saw someone running last year in the early morning heat.
A Thieve's Parade 2/24 Conspirator 2/26 Kevin Smith 3/11 Keller 3/17 Papadosio 3/18 JJ Grey 3/25 Bela Fleck/Edgar Meyer 3/26 Toubab Krewe 3/27 O'Death 4/11 Budos Band 4/22 EOTO 4/28 Summer Camp 5/6-29 All Good
I'm going to try and get 3-5 in each day around the camp grounds before it gets too hot. Need to keep my weekly miles up, even if the rest of the week will be a complete party.
i am doing the C25K training app on the ipod and will finish my last week the week before bonnarro...i'm volunteering during-fest and was thinking about getting a run in wednesday morning before the gates open...i'm doing about 4 mi in 30 min
Be careful out running in this heat...If you have a heatstroke and die; it will make my sitting around camp eating snacks and pounding beer look like a healthy choice.
Wow, I'm so excited to see so many responses from runners! I was hoping to get in about 5 a day, starting wednesday, and probably skipping saturday or sunday (whichever day turns out to be hotter). I also do 4 miles in about 30 minutes, although depending on the heat I may be a little slower. Last year some mornings and late nights wound up being pretty chilly, so if we go early enough I think it'll be okay! Yay i'm excited!
I'm up for a meetup and run! Anything from 3 to 8 miles would be fine for me.
I'll be on the farm starting on Sunday (pre-fest volunteer). I think the during-fest volunteers get in Wednesday afternoon just before the gates open that night.
I train at a 7:00 to 7:30 pace but not looking to push it too hard out there in the heat. PM me if you are interested. Thanks!
OK, so lot's of peeps want to run @ 3, we should designate a meeting site for anyone wanting to run...I need peer pressure to make me do it and I can't afford to have 5-6 days (travel included) with no running.....I'm planning to go to yoga so maybe a pre-yoga (9 a.m.) run.....
