Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
so this will be my second bonnaroo and i'm super excited. i've seen that a lot of people meet new people and chill and whatnot at bonnaroo, but last year i mostly hung out with the two people i came with. the people i did meet were super nice, but i didn't meet very many. basically, i'm a shy person. this year, i'm going with just my best friend, so it would be great to meet some other people! i just never know how to go about this whole thing.
If you happen to at all, just walk into Centerroo or where ever you are going without any cigarette papers. Offer to share if they have something to put it in. I did this several times just to see who I would meet and had some great conversations with some nice people.
Ther are alot of Judgemental Hypocrites on this site.....alot of cool people too.

This. I did this at Les Claypool in '08 and met some really awesome people. We ended up hanging out thru Chris Rock and some of the Metallica set that night.
neighbours are a good start. Maybe try leaving something like a mallet or tape at home and use that as an excuse to strike up a conversation.
I find that you can talk to almost anyone at Bonnaroo, as long as they're not too spun out. Everyone's having the time of their lives which drastically reduces the number of assholes
I like to bring extra stuff like tarps, rope, papers, & beer. I just look to see whats going on & ask if they need anything. With extra tarps you can get with your neighbours & see if you can make a larger shade area, then grab some beers & hand them out to make good friends of your neighbours. Good times for all. Love & Peace

Our neighbors had nothing to hammer their tent stakes in with. So even something as simple as a hammer is a great ice breaker to introduce yourself to your weekend neighbors. Everyone is always so nice and happy to be there, I mean seriously who wouldn't be?!?
I'm going with two good friends (one guy, one girl), and we're really excited to branch out at Roo. We just finished freshman year at college, so it'd be nice to make friends somewhat near us in age and experiences (though new experiences will certainly be embraced while at Roo).
Easy... Just ask "Where are you from?" and "is this your first Bonnaroo?" and if they just give you a curt answer, they are not worth befriending. Don't be discouraged and go on to the next person

So am I! I'm going with my boyfriend. We're hoping to meet a ton of new friends at Bonnaroo.
I am glad to hear that you guys have such a positive view of Canadians.
I have never gone this far into the states before. I am really looking forward to taking in some American culture. Look forward to meeting new people and trying new things.
as a canadian from the east i just love the south. southern hospitality is what its all about, and everyone at bonnaroo is amazing, its so easy to meet people and chat between shows. even last year i met some cool people at bruce and then we accidentally met up at cage the elephant, it was awesome to see a familiar face among 80,000 "strangers"
im starting a plan today to bring a canadian flag and i want everyone i meet at bonnaroo to sign it. i think it'll be a great way to meet some new people, and i'll bring it home and hang it on my wall. i think it'd be a great memento from roo.
