Hoping for Cubs vs Indians. That's a lot of historical frustration going by the wayside for some team that could use some joy.
Gross. If you asked Cincinnati sports fans before the season what is the last world series matchup you want see, that answer would be Cards or Cubs vs Indians.

What? No Pirates?
Reds fans in general don't get as heated about the Pirates as they do the Cubs and Cardinals. I remember in 2013, I was in one of the more popular Cincy sports bars during game 5 of the NLDS between the Pirates and Cards....even though the Pirates had just beat us in the wildcard game, 85% of the people were rooting for Pittsburgh.
Now the Steelers, that's a whole different story...
Blue Jays fans are chucking beer on the field and Rangers fans are bitching about being cursed.
You're not cursed, you had your record in one-run games come back to bite you in the ass.
never heard any Rangers fan say we're cursed but we definitely choke on fielding in the playoffs with the end of that game, and Nelson Cruz in the 2011 World Series, and Odor last year vs Toronto. I agree with the fuck Blue Jays fans part though. A bunch of sloppy drunks.
The Giants have now won 10 consecutive elimination games, the most in MLB history. Think that's an easy thing to do? Try flipping a coin and having it come up heads 10 times in a row. Seriously, go ahead. I'll wait.
So it came up heads 10 times but on the 11th it came up tails. Do you think that's an omen?
I do. I blame you. One thing I've learned this season is that it's no fun rooting for the team that leads the league in blown saves. On the plus side, what other team had their closer balk in the game-winning run.
The Cleveland Indians are 9 innings away from being in the World Series... who'd of thought that back in April. Cleveland has got to be elated right now.
