You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
I've spent all morning reading articles about the Mets' minor league system and its young pitchers. I've officially got the itch back.
(I know it's like fucking Groundhog's Day, I'll forgive the Mets and root for them to play well before talking about paying a Marine sniper to take out Jeff Wilpon and cursing every dollar being paid to Chris B. Young....I give it until June 15th)

Diehard O's fan here. Should I end it all right now or ride this Crush Davis/Manny Macahado gravy train til it runs off its tracks? Need pitching....badly. Can somebody help a brotha out?
Dude....Rob, you were all over the Daily Show tonight. That Stewart was having a field day. Some chick from Toronto was plugging a book she wrote on you, blabbering this way and that about your awesome credentials. Somebody needs to set her straight. Whatchu gonna do about this?

I don't know what this has to do with Ralph Kiner, all-time great, HOFer, and Mets broadcaster for over 50 years. He hit more home runs in his first six seasons than anyone, ever (Pujols is second), in an era when people didn't hit homers like that, in a park that didn't allow anyone to hit them (Forbes Field). Also one of the nicest guys the league's ever had.

Was just kidding around, Rob. Yeesshh. I'll never address the Great One again.

I know, I wasn't serious in being a dick to you, but I did want to talk about how awesome Ralph Kinder was, and how much it sucks he's no longer with us. Nothing personal, sorry.

What, Alfredo Aceves isn't good enough for you?
Long live the Alfredo Aceves era!!!
Maybe I can try and contact Mike Mussina and try to get his 46 year old ass out of retirement.
Last year was the Mariano Rivera farewell tour, this year will be the Derek Jeter tour.
And with that comes an end of an era for the Yankees. The late 90s championship teams that had solid homegrown talent, rather than all hired guns with outrageous salaries. Rivera, Jeter, Posada, Bernie Williams, Pettitte... there's a few others I can't remember right now.
While the Yankees will remain the hated arch rivals, the team back from 1995-2000 was something you could at least have respect for and had some solid ballplayers.
I'm pretty sure he came up through the Yankees system. Him and Shane "Babe" Spencer were supposed to be the next wave of Yankee outfielders. I think we all know how that worked out.

For anyone who wants to get nerdy with baseball, I was looking at EdX classes the other day. Boston U is doing a Sabermetrics class starting in May. As always, it's free.
