But no sport has more sanctimonious players than baseball. Everyone and their mother can offer up opinions on A-Rod, Braun, etc., or needs to react to a player showing an ounce of excitement on the field but no one in the NFL really gives a sh*t about Von Miller or players celebrating touchdowns.
So all that's left at this point is the AL Wild Card race.
I'm hoping Cleveland gets in, be someone different for a change. That and a Boston/Cleveland series would be really interesting.
Totally agree. I'd much rather see Sox play Cleveland in terms of entertainment and I think they match up better, but I could go to the games in Tampa so part of me wants that to happen.
are you quacking kidding me i hope they quacking riot way to send out chipper on the worst call ive seen in mlb no way that was a goddang infield fly. why why why atlanta chokes enough as it is why the Quack do you have to make a call like that. keep throwing shiz this is a disgrace
Lost a game. It's okay, still got the series lead.
I'm curious as to how you're a Red Sox (and Alabama) fan from Tennessee.
And yeah, last night was pretty disappointing - watching that 9th inning home run from their freaking backup catcher. But there's still two more tries to close them out.

We hear constantly about the Redskins' offensive name and how it should be changed. Why do we never hear the same about the Braves or Indians? Shouldn't those be given the same treatment?

Indians - To Broad of a word. Braves - Gets the pass because its a positive adjective.
Which leaves us with Redskins - Anything associated with skin and color is always going to have people talking opinions. Chiefs - The biggest question for me but also the biggest answer to this issue. You have Chief fans in red face with headdresses and tomahawks yet they are not the highlight of the matter due to the fact that their organization A. does not use a actual depiction of a native American as their logo and B. doesn't put the topic of skin color right in their name.
Therefore IMO it all boils down to pointing out physical cultural differences of minorities is taboo and we should ignore it all together. Racism is horrible. To pretend racism was never prevalent is to leave the chance for humans to repeat our violent past, but yet to teach about racism is to allow the mind to be open to prejudice....Vicious cycle were dealing with. Unfortunatly I believe that if every person was orange, we'd argue who was more ripe.

Alabama - Dad's from Alabama. Didn't have a choice. Red Sox - Best friend in high school was from Massachusetts, and that was around 2004. So I hopped on that bandwagon back then.

It's not that simple. First, many Native Americans consider ANY term/mascot/slogan that represents them to be racist. Yes, that includes Chiefs and Warriors and Braves. Second, many Native Americans don't believe that ANY affiliated name, deemed racist or not, should be co-opted by a different group of people. That would include names like Indians. It's an objectification, to some people's way of looking at it, that the person(s) being objectified had no say in. One step further, Alexis Sherman likens the use of tomahawks, the chop, logos, mascots, etc. to religious imagery.
I'm a fan of the Redskins team but not the name, it's past time to change it. That one is clearly the worst. Just not the only.
Now all we need is the Schmitter and . . . boom. Magic.
Speaking of...whens the first home game? I usually end up with two of these things out in Ashburn alley around the 8th inning and you just gave me a craving.

The Indians logo is probably just as offensive as the Redskins name.
The Indians logo is more offensive than the Redskins name, at least IMO. That logo is a blatant, degrading, and embarrassing smack in the face to any Native American.
