I'm still waiting for the Gio-as-Thor picture. He looked sharp last night.
Yeah, I'll admit it...I'm sucked in. I laugh at the WBC when it's not on, but the Muts suck and and I need something to root for since the Jets are letting all my favorite fat guys walk and the Knicks are never beating the Heat in the playoffs.
Captain 'Merica!
I'd say Gio is Thor, Giancarlo is the Hulk, Braun is Ironman and Tricky Dickey is the Black Widow.
That's what I assumed, and I'd ask that he not insult the good folks that played for and cheered on the greatest underdog story the MLB has ever produced like that.
Young's delivery is strikingly similar to Seaver's.
Eh, sort of. They both have the tremendous stride that rubs their knee on the dirt, but Seaver was always more of a 3/4's delivery and Young (I think) is more over-the-top.
But overall they're not that different, except Young is about 9" taller than Tom Terrific.
Oh dude I was being completely facetious. Chris Young is awful.
God dammit. I'm going home.
When you're watching a slow-mo video of Chris Young pitching in a Padres uniform and lying about how it looks like Tom Seaver....the day is over.
They do both have a huge first step that rubs their knee on the ground though, which I find kind of cool. But yeah, other than that they're nothing alike.

Had my fantasy draft yesterday. One of my favorite days of the year. 6-hour live draft at my Dads house (Northeast Ohio). Sportswriters fly in from Houston, Denver, Tallahassee, D.C. and two drive in from Pittsburgh to make it.
18 teams, $158 buy-in. Winner typically cashes ~$700, I placed second last year for about $550. This is the league's 25th year, longer than I've been alive. All-around points league, no silly roto categories or head to head formats. Best team all year wins.
I was very pleased with my draft. My roster is as such:
C- M. Montero 1B- B. Butler 2B- J. Altuve 3B- M. Prado SS- B. Zobrist OF- A. Jackson OF- C. Beltran OF- A. Pagan DH- P. Konerko
BN- M. Izturis BN- C. Ross BN- D. Stubbs BN- A. Rodriguez (DL) BN- A. Romine (M)
SP- S. Strasburg SP- Z. Greinke SP- A. Sanchez SP- A. Ogando SP- A. Griffin CL- G. Perkins

Yay Vernon Wells! One of the worst contracts of all time with some of the least productivity. LAA better eat some of this contract and supposedly he had a lot of good AB's over Spring Training. First time in a long time where the Yankees have some serious rebuilding to do and the thought of the 2014 free-agency market will haunt my dreams. I do like Chen Ming Wang signing, keep him in the minors and if he pitches well and comes up if we have a starter hurt I think it works out fine.
I missed real baseball. Except we in Boston have to wait until Friday to get real baseball. Sure three games against the Yankees will count in the standings, and surprisingly at 1-2 for Boston - but it might as well be Spring Training with that shell of a Yankees roster.
