I was all set to buy a ticket today but at this point it's going to take a Neil / Waters / Arcade Fire / Pavement / Sound Tribe avalanche to get me to pull the trigger. Not a horrible lineup but a lot of bands that I've seen before or am not really into. Even Panic headlining Waka sounds like a better bet.
White Denim - 8/13-14 Power of the Riff - 9/1-2 Bruce Springsteen - 9/19 & 9/21 Gonjasufi - 9/24 Jay Z - 10/4 Animal Collective - 10/5 Swans - 10/10 GWAR - 10/16 New Order - 10/18 Squarepusher - 11/1 Bassnectar - 11/18 Neil Young & Crazy Horse - 11/27 Bonnaroo 2013 - ???

thanks ever-buddy. Must have skipped over it or my cpu is mad at me for trying to go to myspace. sorry to clutter an already flaming thread. LOTUS! yeah.
2 of the big acts that have been heavily rumoured (Jay Z and DMB) announced in the first 1/3rd.
At a rate of BNA every 16 or so, we are looking at possible headliners around 48, 64, 80, and 96. (+/- 2, cumulative for, each - as I expect 100 acts to be announced).
Assuming another in the next 2 or so (I would also guess KoL) that leaves another 3 big acts (top 2 lines of the final poster).
If at any time one of KoL, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, or Roger Waters are spaced less than 12 apart, then there might actually be a big surprise.
Otherwise that Itrain and Airline poster is looking like a fake fake.
Should we start guessing who gets announced when? You know, just in case we start getting bored with the repeating animations.
i feel like we tend to get more djs and electronic acts in artist additions throughout the year. but i don't know how bonnaroo will do things this year.
I'm starting to think there aren't any surprises left.
sadly ???
They just pulled Tori Amos out of their butts. I'm pretty active here and never heard a whisper about her potentially being here. She's always on somebody's wishlist but I never saw a serious discussion about it. That counts a surprise, in my book.

Look at the bands that are not only announced thus far, but the ones also confirmed at the start of this thread via twitter etc. There is not much room left for a huge surprise.
Plus, Billboard has announced that "Jay-Z, DMB, Stevie, and KOL" are the headliners. If Neil was such a done deal I think his name would've been mentioned with that release.

Not familiar with Lotus....but what I'm listenin' to on youtube is not the kind of electronic I'm lookin for. I want some four-on-the-floor ass movin type nuts.
ive only seen them twice, dont have any of their studio material...but they remind me a lot of a perpetual groove/sts9 mash up
yeah....and I'm not really into STS9 and the the whole psychadelic electronic. And if I did want that I'd go straight to Goa/psytrance. I need at least one drivin' electronic act...progressive/big-beat or something....some floor killers!
So far I am very disappointed with the line up. I really want to see the Flaming Lips, Avett Brothers, Punch Brothers, 311, Black Keys and DMB but that is all that has my attention. There had better be some pretty big additions to get me to go this year. I have gone the last two years but the line ups have been stacked each year. I will wait and see but it is not looking worth it.
try this. wait til the full lineup comes out. when you can view the full lineup on bonnaroo.com, start from the bottom and work your way up. skim the band bios and see if anything sounds like something you would like. generally they mention the style of music in the bio. then just go on youtube and myspace and stuff and check out the bands. i can't tell you how many times i thought the lineup was sub-par but it was really cuz i didn't know the acts. i got into portugal. the man, the low anthem, the felice brothers, vampire weekend, and many more just because i knew they'd be at roo and i'd have a chance to see them. try it. you may discover some awesome acts
100% agree. This will be my fourth roo and every year I find all these new bands I had no clue about and then love it, and by fest time I am stoked and have a million and one conflicts!!! Still holding my hopes for some Ghostland or Portugal, but hey good stuff so far. Give it a listen, I am sure you will find many new bands to like and be stoked about! Plus hey its ROO there is nothing like it!
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
