SO Roving Festival Writer confirmed Tenacious D earlier today along with String Cheese MMJ STS9 and Roger Waters among others.. I think this is a good sign.
I've been comparing notes with it as well. It's pretty spot on .... But I don't trust it 100% yet.

Is Tenacious D live, same as the album - can't say I am a fan at all, but I am really surprised by all the love, worries me they will take the spot of someone more music orientated. What is the deal with the D anyways, funny? good show?

Honestly that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. 2009 was 30% good music, 70% lame African folk/World music. This year it seems like the whole dashiki and congas theme is gone (and thank the lord Odin for that!).
Your a pretty big music buff, huh?
That Africa tent was nothing short of amazing.
It's not that I hate the genre or anything - in fact I made it a point to see Toubab Krewe - but I'm just not keen on the idea of shelling out over $200 to watch a bunch of musical acts that look/sound like they were taken from an inner-city crafts center.
I think I am so negative about it because African music is the only world-music subgenre that ever gets any attention at Bonnaroo (or in general). Why can't there be a Japan tent? Or an India tent? Or a South America tent? I'd pay extra if Yoshida Brothers were on the Farm...

nobody is taking anybody's spot. superfly books acts based on the quality of their live show. rather than bands from the jam genre......i think bonnaroo is all about a quality live show. they should be entertaining and put on great set
