So it sounds like most of you hate that other people enjoy music and have fun at shows? Grow up.
(Sorry for the double post) but..
You are completely right man. I thought the point of festivals was to go listen to great music and have an even greater time BEING there? Why do people get mad about this? I mean if someone is enjoying themselves, and isn't harming you, whats the problem?
If you don't like a band(s) on the lineup, simply don't go see them... There's plenty of other music and fun things to do at fests.
I don't really see where anyone is hating on people having fun? The closest I see to that is snarky remarks about people acting like they're into something for "cool points", which doesn't even sound like truly enjoying something or having fun.
And if they are hating and having fun in their hating, you're being a hypocrite.
Phoenix was my bonnarro moment last year. I stumbled onto their set around 1 am and was blown away at how their music made me feel. I remember asking the girl next to me who we were listening to and in my foggy, hazy mind I heard her say "Venus". I walked around all weekend thinking I found this terrific new band called Venus and as I tried to spred the word about this incredible experience I had no one new who I was talking about. Anyway, I ahve seen then at the Electric Factory in Phily since then and cannot wait to see them again in 2010.
