ELP does not suck. Hugely influential, in some ways creating the prog-rock genre. They and Keith Emerson's the Nice were the first ones to really merge rock and classical. .
Frank zappa was really the first but they were definitely part of it

You people are all way off base. Face it, your favorite bands suck. I hate them all. The only band worth listening to is MY favorite band. I'd tell you their name, but it wouldn't mean anything to you.

You're wrong. The band you like sucks. The band that I like is much better.
Hello people. Bonnaroo virgin here that is planning on camping out with ya'll. Just a quick question, is the list final?
Lets say that a band that could have headlining potential(Arcade Fire) is going to be putting out a new album in the summer(Arcade Fire). They haven't announced any tour dates so far this year(Arcade Fire), and I would extremely be interested in seeing them(White Stripe-I mean Arcade Fire).
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

Multiple outlets have them rumored for Lolla. They said they were going to do ONE U.S. festival this year.
Arcade Fire as a headliner? I doubt it. But I also doubted the KOL as headliner. So who knows.
Arcade Fire had a pretty big year last year considering there was nothing released by them. Tons of new followers were introduced to them through Wake Up being played for WTWTA's commercial and NFL's Superbowl commercial...

True, but the same could be said about a lot of bands. Vampire Weekend had a huge year and sell out tons of shows. They grew exponentially in popularity and were featured in multiple movies.
Passion Pit as well. They sell out every show they book here in NYC and sell out a lot of other ones. I've seen them in a ton of new commercials.
The Black Keys too.
But all these bands aren't big enough to headline IMO.
Arcade Fire would probably be a pre-headliner or late afternoon/closing the which stage. They are big and popular but headliner? IDK.

Correction: your favorite band was worth listening to, before their sound became all poppy and stuff
6/18: Phish in Hartford 6/25: Phish in Camden 7/2-7/4: Nateva 7/17: God Street Wine at Irving Plaza 7/23-7/25: String Cheese at Red Rocks!! 8/17-8/18: Phish at Jones Beach 9/3: Rush at PNC
This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.

John Butler Trio has Bonnaroo on every tour date list i've seen. He just sent out an email with his tour dates and it says hell be playin Bonnaroo sunday
I have the 1970 isle of wight poster in my room.... it's argueably the best lineup ever constructed by man or beast. the doors, hendrix, chicago, miles davis, ELP, The who, moody blues....it's pure heaven man.
Four out of the seven bands you name are either complete garbage, or are terribly overrated. So while taste is of course a personal thing and varies from person to person, there's no way in hell that's the best lineup ever constructed.

Sorry if someone has already said this but...
Has anyone noticed a band called "Burn Down The Charade" is one of Bonnaroo's top friends on myspace. All the other top friends are bands that are confirmed on the lineup. Very interesting

This is just another dumbass move by ACE/Superfly to try to get publicity. They're gonna have some big production on April 1st, they'll "Burn Down" a billboard with the current lineup on it, then announce that the initial lineup was a "Charade" and the real headliners are Neil Young, MMJ, and Radiohead and that KoL is actually playing the Sonic Stage Thursday night at 3 a.m.

JBT is touring with State Radio for the summer. So this means the chances are really high that SR will play at the farm again. They put on a killer set back in '08 at the farm. Look forward for them getting announced on the additions.
State Radio's tour dates: 6/10/10 Minneapolis, MN First Avenue and 7th St Entryl 6/15/10 New York, NY Central Park Summerstage w/John Butler Trio 6/17/10
Another add, since i'm caught up in all of this frustrating/great speculation. I noticed Broken Social Scene added some dates:
Saturday May 29th, 2010 George , WA Sasquatch Festival Saturday June 19th, 2010 Toronto , ON Olympic Island
There is a pretty nice gap in between sasquatch and toronto. Hopefully the festival god will bring them down to bonnaroo in between that (almost too long) break. They would be a nice add to the already pretty solid lineup (in my own words).
For all of you supporters of the Roo '10 lineup, see you at the farm!
