Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
seriously. and seeing people getting picked out of the crowd for smoking a joint. annd the small ammount of space they give you to camp with..
ohhhh and. that you can't go to and fro from stages/campsite as you please.
Oh and us hippie folk have to steer clear of the tazers at Coachella.
Yeah it's got a great vibe.
A. Coachella's camping spots are much bigger this year. B. They are allowing festival in and outs this year C. You just have to use common sense about drug use at Coachella and you'll be fine. D. You act like being tazed is common place, that's like me saying if you go to bonnaroo you have to watch out for Ricky Skaggs' bus.
meh - I'm not impressed with the Coachella line up either - but then again - I have no desire to go traipsing all the way to California for a music festival anyway. There are some great bands on the Bonnaroo line up so far - just not anything that jumps out at me and screams that I just have to be there this year
you can bring beer into the campgrounds from outside the campgrounds this year for the first time. Once you are in the festival they have Beer Gardens to drink in. I don't believe they've changed that this year.
do you get to take beer into the festival/music grounds place at coachella?
They changed it so you can this year...you should have seen all the beer and liquor being thrown out last year. So sad. Some people had legit hiding spots too, but the guys searching were good...real good.

They publically tease the Rolling Stones, Further, etc. They delay the lineup for a week. Take all day to release the full thing.
And it ended up being that.
Yes, there's good stuff on it. But it really doesnt compare to what Coachella did. It wasn't worth the day long gimmick. They didnt even come close to the hype they provided via twitter.
The economy sucks. If you want people to pay hundreds of dollars, travel, and take off work to attend your event: dont bait and switch.
i was actually considering somehow making this year three of roo for me, but there is not enough of a drew for me to drive 18 hours to the farm. gorillaz, faith no more, thom yorke????, and jonsi were the biggest draws for me for coachella...especially since a north american tour for all of them consists of approx five to ten dates, with no love for anywhere near tx. happy for all who are stoked for this lineup, though
edit: i know it will still be a magical weekend, however, with times the way they are, a lineup is just as important to me as the entire experience. jam cruise and toss up between acl and voodoo (lineup determins which i go to) are musts for me, however, coachella and roo will depend on lineup
cannot believe Tenacious D and Weezer are on the top line. Comparing it to last yrs is just depressing. I wonder if this is all part of the plan....to see how tix sell and then follow it up with 5-10 more solid names to give things a boost. As mentioned, lots of likely acts were omitted, like Spoon, MMJ, Waters, Young, Furthur, Pavement...and some longer-shots like Macca, Stones, Arcade Fire, Strokes, etc. This can't be it.....

It's not so much Ricky Skaggs you gotta look out for. but Kentucky Thunder...
you know what makes me think this is it? They said they're headliners were set weeks ago in the COS interview. That means they haven't been trying to get anyone else and they are happy with this. :-(

this is what i told my wife...i think they left out some big names for that reason then they will drop the ball fo sho

but....but.....but..... i just feel so underwhelmed. what about pavement?? what about arcade fire??? what about my morning jacket??? what about PAVEMENT? wow. This would have been my fifth year to go...and i will still say bonnaroo is the greatest. but i might have to skip out this year so i can maintain my view point.
It would have been way easier to swallow if they would have just given to us all at once. They created so much hype, then this 9 hours of announcements just to have an anti climatic ending. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of great music to be had at the farm this year. I was just hoping for....more, I guess. KOL are too recent to get a top headlining spot. They don't deserve that.

Compare the size of the 2010 list to the last 4 or 5 years... it's way smaller. I think there will be more additions, I just hope there's some big names. It's not that the lineup is all bad.. just to end on Stevie was so anticlimatic.
I have my fingers crossed for some really great additions. They need to make it up to us - for crying out loud, many of us sat waiting for 9 damn hours!!

- from the not so thrilled side. I believerm AC/Superfly recognized the mediocrity of the lineup, which lead to the trickle down decision. The idea I suppose being building early ticket sales through suspense and rumor. Also because much of the lackluster lineup had truly been leaked in one way or another.
Anyways I am still hype on Deadmau5, LCD, Thiev Corp, Bisco, Claypool, Bassnectar,John Prine, and Kris Kristofferson. Heres hoping for additions.
I can see the Lips on there. And I think this is a pretty killer line-up so far! Not understandin' all the naysayers. Sure, I'd love some MMJ back on the Farm, but maybe it's too soon. Maybe they'll be added. I never took the tease fer The Rolling Stones, and maybe at the time The Who were still in talks but then decided not to go through with it like they did with Coachella.
Anyway, I'm givin' this thread some positive vibes 'cause dammit I'm excited!
