I am thinking that it may have something to do with Alice in Chains. Layne Staley's middle name was Tom and then there is Jerry Cantrell. Don't know where without art fits in but he did say one of the answers for the upcoming ckues was given for a previous clue and Alice in Chains was guessed.

Well if you take out Art (Tom) you are left with Jerry (Cantrell). This could fit. I don't know how much of a draw a Layne Staley-less Alice in Chains would be. They do have a new album so who knows.

I regards to AIC being a draw their new album has done well, as has their tour. they are selling out Theatres and large clubs. Over last summer they headlined a couple of alt rock festivals. So there is a draw. Looking at the clue Alice in chains makes some sense if Layne's middle name really was tom.
Sorry to go back to the Nofx guess, but i saw that DJJD mentioned "gimme" in one of his responses and Fat Mike is in the Punk cover band Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. Didn't see anybody mention that so I though I would throw it out there. ON a personal note I can't see them being there, because they will spend the whole time making fun of hippies and Jerry Garcia.

^^ Good call on that! They getting older these days and may tone it down a little just to get out and play, and what better way for Superfly/AC to show that Bonnaroo is more than just a jam band festival.

I forgot to mention the last part of djjd tweet help, bst wrk. From what I can tell he doesn't tend to type that way so I think it meant something. Strengthens the nofx guess futher.

If it is Nofx it may be one of the more interesting shows ever at Bonnaroo. They love pissing off their crowds more than any band I have ever seen. They think its fun and they have the niche carved out already so they care about making many new fans. In response to amash11, they have gotten worse with this as they have gotten older. ON top of this they really hate hippies and Jerry. However, i don't hink any of the real hippies at Bonnaroo will go to a punk show.
Maybe we need to go back to the earlier idea of taking the phrase Tom and Jerry and taking out the letters a, r and t. Which gives us omjery. Maybe we are looking for an act that sounds like that.

Also, looking at DJJDs response: "# 8 is sorta easy- kinda easy, but not a gimme."
This would rule out Nofx, wouldn't since its "not a gimme" and Fat mike is in Me first in the gimme gimmes. Sorry i didnt really look at that very closely when I first mentioned that gimme could be a clue for Nofx. IT seems to actually rule out Nofx.
I just did a bunch of scrambles (per some previous hints from DJJD) with TOMANDJERRY without the ART, i.e. OMNDJERY. Two very interesting ones: DJONMYER (John Mayer) and JERNYMON or JORNYMEN (Journeyman). Per Wikipedia, among other things, Journeyman is:
1) one of the monikers of electronic/ambient music producer Paul Frankland. 2) a 1989 album by Eric Clapton 3) a song from Iron Maiden's album Dance of Death 4) a song from Praying Mantis' album "A Cry for the New World" 5) a song from Jethro Tull's album Heavy Horses
It doesn't go with the "make sure it's not already solved" clue though.
Not that it discredits ^ but I think if it were going to be like that, we'd have to take out the vowels ("bst wrk")... So rather than OMNDJERY it'd be MNDJRY...?

Could "bst wrk" just have been a general hint that taking certain letters out of words was the right way to go?
But also, tnjedi91 - some of those anagrams are wrong, jernymon and jornymen don't work.

Tinariwen has some degree of simliarity and would satisify the right guesses on wrong clues mention but I don't feel this is good enough to be right either. Still he does admit it's a pretty sloppy match so maybe?

Good point... Especially because MNDJRY isn't giving me anything
I don't think I've seen anyone mention this so I'll throw it out there.
I took the ART out of Tom and Jerry and I came up with OMNDJEY. I took out both R's because... I dunno, to me it just seems silly that everyone was leaving one in for some reason.
Anyway, when I see OMNDJEY I think of Almond Joy. So I did a little research (As in... I looked at Wikipedia) and saw these things about Almond Joy that pertains to music:
The advertising slogan "sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't" was featured in the funk/dance song "Wide Receiver" by Michael Henderson. The song "Chocolate Jesus" by Tom Waits (on the album Mule Variations) mentions Almond Joy And the most interesting one to me... One of the Allman Brothers early band names was the Allman Joys.
I'm not sure of The Allman Brothers has been guessed in this thread yet, but if not, that's a pretty good fit for the clue, and it matches his comment of correct guesses for the wrong clues, because I know Allman Brothers have been guessed -somewhere-!

Anyway, my two cents! :-D
That thinking lead me to Tracey Ullman, but you unwrapped a much tastier treat.
