dont know if anyone has posted this:
A kōan is fundamental part of the history and lore of Zen Buddhism. It consists of a story, dialogue, question, or statement whose meaning cannot be accessed by rational thinking, yet it may be accessible by intuition. A widely known kōan is "Two hands clap and there is a sound; what is the sound of one hand?" (from wikipedia)
it goes on to say "The master is looking not for an answer in a specific form, but for evidence that the disciple has grasped the state of mind expressed by the kōan itself."
so maybe the girls on the bikes are not necessarily related to how lockin is not lockin, but just trying to gives us a more generalized idea about the clue.

WOAH guys I did some research, and the word "lochen" (sounds like lockin') MEANS "holes" in German. And I bet there are TONS of blonde girls riding bikes in Germany. So, we're looking for a German band, or a band with the word "hole" in its name, or something like that?

The image that popped into my head when I read the bike girls thing was of some giant female Swedish clowns riding tiny bikes around a circus ring while the audience laughed it up. So if DJJD is looking for a state of mind of ABSOLUTE TERROR, he got it here. Clowns are scaaaary.
I also thought of Lockin as John Locke and the bike as Harley. Any possible Lost connection for this clue?

I think the key is in "lockin" in a european sense... so my german "lochen," meaning to make holes, and lochan, scottish, meaning "small lake," like someone else said up there. swan lake, maybe?

not sure if anyone has pointed this out but there's a record label called Lockin' Out Records in Boston, Massachusetts. Artists include The Rival Mob, New Lows, Razzle Dazzle, Righteous Jams, Mental, and Cold World.
Monkeyroo72 to DJJD: "@djjdfarmhound quotes of artists which contain the work LOCK ? a LOCK-in-Quotes "lockin" ? click yes click click no por favor senor "
From DJJD Twitter: "MonkeyRooster click click -- but there is a solid reason it's in quotes. "

Working on the premise "solid" is the key word here.
