i think weezer would fit the beasties spot perfectly. but with all this neil talk, i'd rather have him. i was never "into" weezer, but should they grace the farm this year or any year, i'd love to see them.

I had commented a couple pages back that Weezer was unlikely due to the wreck, but Im glad to see i was wrong. Its good to see that all is now well. They would be a nice surprise on the lineup. Not really counting on it, but they would be fun to see.

No they wouldn't. I love the offspring. I even enjoy pre-Smash Offspring (yes there is such a thing). The only way that the offspring play Roo is if there is a Punk tent. In that case they would close out a tent and be like 15th on the lineup.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
I'm still holding out for The Who, Macca, Prince or Roger Waters. They have to book someone that can match Bruce Springsteen's status or else the whole lineup is going to look like a notch down from last year. Neil Young is a badass, but he's not as big as The Boss in terms of popularity.
True. But he isn't that far away. Remember Neil Young solo has a lot bigger catalog to pick from than Crazy Horse. He is one of the few along with Macca who can match Bruce classic for classic and still have a few left over.

I dont care if he is up there by himself with an acoustic, he's not only one of the best songwriters of all time, but also an incredible performer. He would definately be on the Mount Rushmore of Bonnaroo along with Willie, Warren, Jack, and Ben.

I think that if Neil were to come he would come with the band he has been tour with since Chrome Dreams II came out. While they don't have the notoriety that Crazy Horse has they are a great band. The best thing about them is while Crazy Horse does not soften much his current band can rock out as hard as the Horse and can play the softer country and folk stuff too. Plus Ben Keith is a living legend.

I feel like this has to be posted every page: Radiohead are not appearing at Bonnaroo 2010. Hey but aren't they in the studio awolfatthedoor? Just no, the answer is no they aren't going to be there.
