Don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but you can pretty much scratch Muse from possible headliners/sub-headliners. They're playing in France on 11th and 12th of June.
stevie wonder can jam better than any other headliner i can think of. his voice is phenomenal, his music is contagious, and the guests would be off the charts.
I love Stevie, and know he would tear the stage down, he is amazing and certainly an artist on my "bucket" list. That being said I imagine he would be in the BB King/Buddy Guy/Al Green/James Brown Living R&B legend spot.
I think your wrong here. Stevie would be the biggest festival preheadliner ever. Think about it.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver

Either way, I was actually thinking that spot was typically the What preheadliner but looking back it seems like it was always the band before that. Where I would really like to see Stevie though is late night, there has not been any good Classic rock latenight stuff since Dr John.
Yeah, in my eyes, at least, Stevie's a bigger name than the rest of those (not by a huge margin, but enough to get bumped up to late afternoon/pre-headliner). But, I really think Stevie Wonder would be one of the best headlining sets Roo's ever seen.
Hmmmm......So i have my doubts about Roger Waters and U2 for Roo this year. If we take those guys off the table (as well as Muse, Jay Z, and Clapton for obvious reasons) who would your predictions be?
I think Neil Young and Stevie Wonder could be in the mix and i'm always waiting for Roo to pull something crazy like Paul Simon performing Graceland or a Peter Gabriel set, but right now i'm going with:

I don't think Phish is going to play again this year, but I could see RHCP and the Who playing. We really don't have too many options it seems for headliners right now.

Don't be surprised if your headliners are The Who, DMB, Furthur, Flaming Lips, String Cheese Incident, Pavement, Pixies, Arcade Fire, and hopefully Up in Smoke tour. I really do think they'll bring back Dave Matthews and I think Furthur makes an appearance.

Word on the street (PT) is that there will be a southern summer tour kicking off Memorial day in Arkansas, with a two or three night run in Atlanta included. To me this makes it likely individual members show up to take part in Superjam, but I doubt they will play. That being said it is The Phish, and it is not like last year did not have 4 shows within a five hour drive and two week timespan of Bonnaroo. I would be all for it, but it seems unlikely at best unless Bono gets hepatitis.
If this happens, I might not be at Bonnaroo, since I would likely have to choose between the two. Not a very difficult decision; seeing a 2 or 3 night run of almost anyone in Atlanta is like going on a little mini-vacation in my own city. I need to know these dates asap, so I can book a room at my favorite hotel!! ;D

Man i might have to hit up one of those Atlanta show's before Roo if they come to fruition.
It is hard to separate the wheat from the chaff on PT, but so far they have called almost everything from Hampton-Miami at least 6 months in advance. I will more than likely be there as well, I love runs Cincinnati was one of the best times I have had all year.
This news made my night. It makes sense for it to be true since they were noticeably absent from the south this year. I love Lakewood as a venue, but it's location outside of downtown kind of sucks. You pretty much have to drive there (marta trains don't even take you all the way there, you have to get on a bus), so a hotel room may not be a necessity. All I know is....I know what I'm asking to get for my birthday!!!!! ;D
I will say if The Who thing comes through that will be a big deciding factor in what I do next Summer. Also The Who will be playing Quadrophenia on their tour, Phish has covered the Album as a musical costume before If they had Mike and Fish filling in I would have to change my pants.
John Mayer would be cool. He is a badass guitar player and his pop stuff is a guilty pleasure. I saw him sit-in with Galactic in New Orleans and he absolutely lit the place on fire. If Robbie McIntosh is still playing with him, that's bonus guitar greatness.

Eh? Its only a 10 minute bus ride from the station. You'll survive (more than likely).

^I wouldn't shake a nose at either of the two Sunday nights. Panic IS a traditional Roo powerhouse (not to mention on of my personal favorites). I don't really see SCI headlining, though. No particular reason. Just a gut feeling. . .
Also,to modify my earlier post, and add to speculation fodder, let's say Roo maintains last year's Friday night format:
