No question! He was really impressed me and I was already excited, because I'm a fan of his solo and Talking Heads work. I loved it! I've also decided my dream job is being a David Byrne backup dancer.

I was on 4 doses of Dr. Hoffmann's special sauce and it was at life changing experience for me. I left that set with the largest smile on my face. I was floating. People who missed his set for the Beasties, I feel bad for you. Real bad.

Absolutely amazing show. I left Beasties cause I just wasn't feeling it and wandered to Byrne. Incredible. Sat next to these two cats from Boston who were cool as fuck. They had all kinds of glowy toys plus a cool shirt that told the time lit up and everything.

I went to Beasties and pulled myself away to haul ass to Which stage, and didn't miss any of Byrne like I thought cause he went on a tad late, and once he was on I didn't even stop dancing once! The post office volunteer next to me was late cause he loved it too! Ha! Loved this show, and the dancers were pretty sweet to watch!

I've wanted to see the Beastie Boys for a very long time. Since I was a kid for sure. But I love the Talking Heads, and I had to miss David Byrne's set at Bonnaroo in 2004 and I promised myself I would never miss him if he came again.
I came though for myself and managed to not watch the Beasties and I couldn't be happier. This show was off the chain. Even better than I expected, and I expected alot. Haha.
Wonderful show.
And steveternal...your response is exactly why I wanted to see this show so bad. I know what I missed in '04.....hehehe.

Best show of '09 for me and top 5 of the last four years for sure. (I haven't really rated the other 4 slots yet. but MMJ, Richard Thompson, & Radiohead '06, and Decemberists '09 might be some of the others off the top of my head right now.)

One of my top three, still would of liked to hear Naive Melody, was standing in line for the porto's during "Once in a Lifetime". You may find yourself.....
Mr. Byrne was my favorite of the weekend without a doubt! Only things that could have made it better would have been changin' up his tour setlist fer the 'Roo (some "Psycho Killer," or if he had played "Naive Melody" from TH, or maybe more solo stuff like "Lazy") and the fact that a great chance fer a collaboration with Al Green did not happen. Regardless it was amazing finally seeing my idol live.

Byrne was my favorite of the weekend, followed by Al. I think I was dancing at his show, and I'm one of those people always being complained about for standing still at shows.
I was also disappointed by the lack of a collaboration, but still very happy seeing both full sets. I think the only other full sets I saw were Elvis Perkins, Decemberists, The Low Anthem, and The Lovell Sisters. Actually, I didn't quite see all of Decemberists, I left a couple of songs after HOL to make a camp run before Bruce, who of course came on 30 minutes late, causing me to miss the end of Decemberists for nothing.
