We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

todays haul:
Garcia's Gang (GD live bootleg April 1971) Dead Meadow - Old Growth Jonathan Wilson - Gentle Spirt The Chris Robinson Brotherhood - Live 10" Deafheaven - Roads To Judah Isis - Live VI Black Breath - Sentanced To Life OFF! - Compared to What? 7"
My great aunt got some records from a deceased friend a few years ago and recently gave them to me. Including near mint original Cream Wheels of Fire and Johnny Cash At Folsom Prison. Damn this guy took great care of his records! A very nice gift.
Picked up Adele's "19" and "21" along with Radiohead's "King of Limbs" yesterday. King of Limb's REALLLY grew on me after two listens to it on vinyl yesterday. There's a whole lot goin' there that I didn't really pick up on MP3. It made me that much more excited to hear the songs off of that album in a live setting.

New Vault Package for Third Man Records is out:
Not too big on Karen Elson...what do you guys think of her? Haven't really given her a shot. The 7" and the DVD are really worthwhile but not sure if I'll get this one.
I couldn't pass this one up. I have No Depression on vinyl still but need the others. The 7" Box Set takes care of RSD and less worries.
Plus .. that's a swank t shirt.
That's a steal as far as I'm concerned. I actually didn't know the 7" box set was going to be available outside of RSD. I'm considering buying that myself now.....

Just found Walk On the Wild Side: The Best of Lou Reed for $1.99 at Value Village. Greatest hits are lame, etc., but Value Village shoppers can't be choosers. Solid condition.
just wondering if anyone is heading out early for RSD ?
Last year I got in line about 4 hours before my local store opened and I was 5th in line because a handful of people decided to camp out overnight. Did I really need to go that early? Probably not because everybody else started showing up about an hour before they opened, but I pretty much had first choice because they only let a few people in the store at a time. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to get in line that early this year, depends what my local store is able to get.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

I always spend more than I plan to. But this year I need to figure out which items are actually limited and which will be able to be purchased after RSD.

I thought I was going to be in that same boat so I was not planning on going at all which was breaking my heart, but some things opened up and now I'm probably going to spend more money than I should.
