it's a subscription type thing so they auto sign you up unless you cancel or don't have enough money
I get that it's a subscription thing but with Third Man Records Vault subscription I can find out what the package will be and still have time to cancel if I don't want it. I was wondering if I would get charged before finding out what the selection is.
I quit before they announced Beck this month and then I got a shitlod of "it's not too late to come back!!!!" emails all month.

Due to a manufacturing error, all of the clear vinyl copies of the Remember Us To Life LP were produced in black vinyl.
Please accept our sincere apology. Mistakes happen, but we are embarrassed about this one!
We are currently producing clear vinyl replacements. We expect this process to take 6-8 weeks and will send out your clear vinyl copy as soon as it becomes available.
It is not necessary for you to return your black vinyl LP and we hope you are enjoying the music in the meantime.
We apologize again for the error and thank you for your patience. We will update you as soon as possible when to expect the clear vinyl.

So I got the AT-LP60 during this past Christmas. I moved back in with my folks during the summer and ever since then I have not really had a place to create a setup...so I just stored it for whenever I find a job and get my own place. I decided to get it out yesterday for the first time in awhile, and I discovered a problem.
There is no sound coming through the speakers that I have the record player hooked up to, but the speakers are fine....I hooked them up to my computer to check. Any suggestions?

Are the speakers powered? Also try toggling the pre-Amp off/on.

Probably going to sound like a noob by asking this, but is all that makes speakers powered is them plugging into an outlet? If so, then yes they're.

Your RCA cables running from the TT to your speakers might be connected to the wrong inputs on the speakers.
Doubtful but also check the lead cables connecting your cart to the tonearm, did they become unhooked?

Right in time for Christmas!
The Chemical Brothers’ entire discography will be reissued on vinyl this coming December. Seven (all except 2015’s Born in the Echoes) of the electronic duo’s albums will be pressed on limited-edition colored vinyl (out December 9), and all eight will be on standard black vinyl (December 23). Pre-orders are available now via Amoeba.
It has been a while since I picked up any vinyl, but today I got:
David Bowie - Low Depeche Mode - Some Great Reward Soft Cell - Non Stop Ecstatic Dancing (remix EP) Yes - Close To The Edge Tom Verlaine - Cover Philip Glass - Songs From Liquid Days
Also ordered Tear Garden -Tired Eyes Slowly Burning off of Discogs. Hoping to get back into the swing of collecting after a while away.
I know I have 0 reason to believe that it's gonna happen and it's a total pipe dream but I REALLY want a Sufjan Stevens live at Red Rocks vinyl/cd/dvd set like Alt J did this past April. I imagine that vinyl would be just as extravagant as the show was

Christmas in Hollis, A Lesson in Crime/Smith EP, Steady As She Goes/Store Bought Bones are the only Black Friday things I have the slightest interest in

I still can't get my AT LP 60 to transfer sound to speakers. Tried two different sets of powered speakers, both of which work fine through my laptop. To my knowledge, I have everything connected correctly. I can hear the record from it's natural sound through the needle, and static comes out of my speakers when I move the green plug-in around the adapter before connecting. Idk what I'm missing here, but I posted pictures of my setup below. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. postjack, you mentioned lead cables connecting the cart to the tonearm, and possibly becoming unhook...how would I check for that?

I had to connect an amp for mine to work between the player and my speakers. My speakers did not have the normal headphone jack. I believe there is a switch on the back of the player for the built-in amp to turn it on or off.

see those cables running from the cartridge to the tonearm in the attached picture? make sure those are all secure. it is very unlikely they become unhooked but it's worth checking.
Another question, while playing a record, if you put your ear up to the cartridge can you faintly hear the music playing? If that is the case we at least know the cartridge is OK.
I know you said you already checked your preamp, but similarly if you are running directly to the speakers with the internal RIAA phono pre turned off, you'll be able to hear ever so faint music coming from the speakers when you turn them way up. If you can, and the phono pre is definitely on, then it's a problem with the phono pre.

i have the same turntable hooked up to powered speakers and the only difference i can see between your setup and mine is that you're using the black/red rca cable vs the red/white rca cable i have on mine. i know mine came with both, so i'm assuming yours did too.
though now that i think about it, mine go into my subwoofer, which i think has a female 3.5mm jack, and then that is connected to the speakers, so i have the rca cables with the male jack on my turntable...

This may be it. I noticed when listening closely to the speakers all the way turned up...if I switched from phono to line I can hear very faintly music for 1-2 seconds, then nothing.
Looks like I am going to have to call tomorrow and probably send it in next week.
Extremely random, dirt-cheap pick ups from yesterday:
Fat Boys - Rushin' (hey, it's actually supposed to be quite good, I hear) Rick James - The Flag (Mostly a curiosity, because I remember reading it was quite bad) Vanity - Wild Animal (long out of print, plus her first solo release and first album away from Prince) Hall & Oates - Private Eyes (self explanatory)
Plus, I've got the original pressing of Prince's "Graffiti Bridge" being held for me at 2nd & Charles. Not one of my favorite Prince albums, but I hardly ever have seen the record for a decent price, and I'll buy just about anything Prince at this point for the right price.
A rare fruitful trip to one of the flea markets in town yielded:
Stevie Wonder - Songs in the Key of Life (in excellent shape!) Michael Jackson - Off The Wall (I can now put away my other copy that is in a little better shape) Sly and The Family Stone - Stand! Linda Ronstadt - Prisoner in Disguise
All for $3. These all came from the same old man seller... he said his wife was making him sell his collection. He had some pretty obscure stuff, too, stuff I didn't even know what it was. This other guy had a much bigger and better selection, but he was selling roughed up vinyl for kind of silly prices. For instance, Todd Rundgren's "Something/Anything" (a record I would absolutely love to own) beat to shit for $15, and George Harrison's "All Things Must Pass" (another album I'd love to own) literally falling to pieces as I looked at it for $25. Also, the Stevie Wonder album I just bought minutes earlier in close to NM for less than a buck, he was trying to sell a mid grade copy for $15. Mmm, nope.
