Would you rather have a bionic arm or a bionic leg? Bionic arm, but only if it's the left arm and super strong. I wipe my ass with my right hand, and I think it's important to know exactly what's going on there. But I don't really need my left arm, and could use it to crush fruit as a party trick. But if it wasn't super strong, I'd want it to be the leg so that way I can randomly hike up my pant legs and catch passersby unaware.
Would you rather die of the cold or die of the heat?
The cold for sure. I really don't like the cold but after a while you just become numb to it. Form why I hear it's actually one of the more peaceful/pleasant ways to go.
Would you rather have your face and body but the brain of a chimpanzee or be a chimpanzee but have your human brain?
Some would say I already have the former, but regardless I think it'd be really cool to just chimp about and do chimp shit, plus with my human brain I can invent tools and shit and impress my friends.
Would you rather wake up and find your teeth have fallen out or your hair has fallen out?
My hair. It's already on the way out and this would just speed up the process, and then I don't have to worry about haircuts.
Would you rather be a penguin who's a bird but can't fly or a flying fish that's a fish that can fly a bit?
A flying fish. Better chance of meeting David Attenborough that way.

Of the board members who are no longer here/as active, who do you miss the most?
Rothric is the man, though he's made a reappearance recently. custeph's presence is always missed as well. And katbur2. She was special.
What would be your last meal?
In an electric chair situation I'd want something comforting that reminds me of being a kid. So probably eggs-in-toast with a glass of orange juice. If we're just talking about the meal that happens to be my last, I'd be happy with lasagna. It'd be a good send-off.
Favourite animal and why?
I have several, but if I had to pick one I'd have to go with bats. When I was young I gravitated towards creepy stuff so they were a natural choice for me as a kid, though I don't actually find them creepy at this point. They're just misunderstood night birds.
If you had to give up one activity you loved for the rest of your life, what would it be?
This is a hard question; I'm tempted to just pick one of my various vices since it'd benefit me to give them up. I'll just say coffee. I really love coffee in a lot of ways but I could give it up if I really needed to. It'd be good to be less jittery.
Marry, fuck, kill: Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, Chris Hemsworth
Marry Chris Pratt, because of course. The cuddles would be great. That leaves Evans and Hemsworth... They'd both be good lays but Hemsworth is too traditionally masculine for me. So kill him and bring out the satin sheets for Chris Evans.
Marry, fuck, kill: Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Aniston, Jennifer Lopez
Gonna marry Jennifer Lawrence. She seems more interesting than the other two. When I was 15 my search history had a lot of searches for Jennifer Lopez in it, so I feel like it's only right that I do my younger self a favor. Kill Jennifer Aniston.
Favourite instrument and why?
Guitar, because it's the only thing I can play at a more than basic level. Theramins are really neat though.
In your opinion, what is the worst sport?
Golf. I find baseball more boring but golf takes up entirely too much space.

What is one obscure thing you’d love to talk about for hours?
The psychology of the self. Which is pretty ironic in some ways.
What is the your favorite pop tart flavor?
Brown sugar and cinnamon.
Who is one person you want to have a beer with before you die?
Killer Mike. Every time I hear him talk, I don't want him to stop.
What is your favorite game to play at a casino?
Slots I guess. I don't really do casinos too much.
What would be your third wish if you had a genie?
Perfect health. I'm in fairly good health now, but it requires more and more maintenance as you get older and it'd be nice to just never have to worry about how much I'm exercising or sleeping or how I'm eating or anything like that and still be in great mental and physical shape.
Why do kids crave those crazy squares?
Okay so I had to look this one up because I had no clue what you were talking about. Turns out I missed that entire marketing campaign. Cinnamon Toast Crunch is delicious though. It has cinnamon-sugar swirls in every bite!

Woeful. Meditation is one of my favorite things that I almost never do. At least not formally. I often take moments to be mindful and connect throughout the day, but it's not as often anymore that I sit and meditate. It's a shame because I'm a huge proponent of it and there are few things that I think are more beneficial to a human being, but I've lacked the discipline lately.

cool, you should get back into it. all you gotta do is begin again.
How does one get into meditation? I’ve tried but always felt like I was missing something.
Sit and experience the sensation of yourself breathing (many people focus on the air passing over their upper lip/nostrils or on the rise and fall of the chest). Your mind will wander; bring it back to the breath. That's literally all there is to it. Rinse repeat ad infinitum.

what jaz said. there are different kinds of meditation but the form that is most popular and is what we think of in the West when we say "meditation" is mindfulness meditation. you ask 100 people why they meditate you might get 100 different responses, but for me the practice of sitting has made me more aware of how my mind functions when i'm not sitting. an explicit example is when i'm meditating i consistently drift into planning, often about work, which leads to worrying about numerous uncomfortable things that could happen. when i catch myself in that thought and bring myself back to the breath it's a reminder that i tend to do that a lot, and that type of thinking is unhelpful. i cannot stop those thoughts from happening, but I can be aware when they are happening. the benefit is when i'm actually working and worrying about something i can have a moment of mindfulness when I say "a-ha, there you go again jack with that unhelpful worrying." so similarly into how I snap back to focusing on the breath during practice, in real life I snap back to a more useful thought, like what is the thing I need to do next.
while practice is the most important thing, i have found it helpful to listen to talks from people who have way more experience in meditation then I do. i also like hearing about the science behind meditation. while an app isn't necessary to a meditation practice i've used a few and have enjoyed "10% Happier" the most. they have tons of great teachers, some I was already familiar with and some that were new to me.
if you are interested i can send you a guest pass to access the app free of charge for 30 days, no credit card required. this goes for anybody, I think I can send unlimited guest passes.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
