Sorry y'all. Try as I may to stay out of it, every now & then I go in & wish I had not. I wouldn't classify myself a prude, but after reading things in that thread, I guess maybe I am. But know this. Keep on posting in there. I promise I am not judging y'all!
Well, maybe I am a little.

Please lay out your business plan for the Inforoo Commune. And please let us know how long it will take to implement... because I'm ready to join.
Well, after a little research, here's what we need to do.
1 - Organize the members of your commune. DONE These are the people who will initially have to do the leg work to set up the commune. Find people who share the same ideals and believe in the community you all want to start. Brainstorm together and take lots of notes. Be sure that making a commune is what you all really want to do and develop a mutual philosophy of the function of the community. Decide whether your commune will subsist on independent farming or if you will create a product within the commune to sell on the market.
2 - Consult a tax lawyer. Lucky for us, we have a whole bunch of lawyers on here. Who does tax law? Step on up! If you are starting a new community it will require a lot of paperwork on the books to establish your legal identity and tax status, especially if your commune will be producing and selling goods. A tax lawyer will be able to guide you through the process of legally forming a communal entity.
3 - Scout out the location for your commune. Hmmm, where to have it??? Something we have to discuss. No brainer that it should be within an easy drive of Roo, right? And, it has to be close to Clemson so that I can still make it to football games. OK, y'all? If you don't have one already, you will have to either purchase real estate or rent the land. When looking at real estate, consult your notes and be sure that the property will be able to serve all the needs and functions of the community.
4 - Put your roots down. LET'S DO THIS!!!! And as far as I am concerned the sooner the better. We need a brainstorming meeting. October 24-26 at my house??? Set up all the resources on the communal land that you will need for your commune and get to working.

I'm pretty sure that between all of us, we can sell knitted cat hair sweaters to the masses to support the Infocommune.

Please let me know if this is too personal, or too soon, but I enjoyed seeing the photos and reading about your grandmother and would love to know more about her.
What is your fondest memory of your grandmother? What did you call her growing up? I'm sure she taught you many things, but what stands out as the #1 lesson? Is there anything else you'd like us to know about her?
YES! Well, not in the Upstate, but around Columbia & the lower part of the state & all along with beach. We were devastated (yes, I am serious) when they closed the one at our beach & reopened as BILO. It was a sad, sad day.
Speaking of which, what grocery store(s) do you like/frequent?
Publix is my favorite. I go to Ingles pretty often because it is the only grocery store in the small town I live in.
Do you think any of your kids will grow up to be rebels against authority? (Such as going around protesting shit, like me) Reid maybe. I doubt the older two will. Not that I am opposed to it. I just think both of them don't have the temperament for protesting. Unless it's protesting cleaning their room.
What is the raunchiest song you can think of?
On average, how many of hours of sleep do you get a night? 6-7 if I am extremely lucky
What was the longest you've gone without sleeping before? I recently went 72 hours on a combined seven hours of sleep. That sucked.
Name some Inforooers who don't post here anymore, that you wish were still doing so Flanz, mayonaise, o'neil, A$AP Rosko, Zapp
Who do you think will win the Pac 12 this year?
Sorry, LD.
What is the worst place you've ever been to? Hope I don't offend anybody, but I will say Jacksonville, Florida. I hated that place both times I went.
Do you think you've avoided answering too many serious personal questions this month?
Please let me know if this is too personal, or too soon, but I enjoyed seeing the photos and reading about your grandmother and would love to know more about her.
CKS, thank you.
I found so many wonderful photos yesterday when I went over to her house before we left. I was so tired last night when we got home that I didn't get around to getting them out of Brad's truck. There is one in particular that I will add here tomorrow.
What is your fondest memory of your grandmother? I have so very many. I can't honestly choose right now, but driving home yesterday I was reminded our "roadtrips", when she would take me home to GA after spending two weeks with her in MS every summer. She had an orange VW Bug, and us driving with the windows down, listening to music, stopping whenever we wanted thus making the trip last all day long, is a memory that will always stay with me. So will the dance parties we used to have.
What did you call her growing up? My three cousins called her Mawmaw, but my brother & I never liked that. She was always our Grandma.
I'm sure she taught you many things, but what stands out as the #1 lesson? To be kind to all, even when you don't want to be. To help others, even when you would rather just help yourself. And above all, be selfless.
Is there anything else you'd like us to know about her?
My Grandma took care of everybody, but especially me & my brother. When my parents divorced and we moved from GA to MS, having her in our lives was a true blessing. She comforted us, let us take over her house, she made sure to buy & cook the foods we liked best. When peaches were in season over the summer, she would peel a bowl of peaches (& sprinkle sugar on them) for me almost every morning before she went to work. She spoiled us. She took us to church. She took us to school & picked us up when our mom failed to do so. She took us shopping all the time. God, that woman loved to shop. She was the most giving person I will ever know. She loved Ray Stevens & Days of our Lives. She made the best cube steak you will ever eat. I actually recorded her making it a few years ago so I would always know how to do it, but no one can make it like her.
When something wasn't right in my life, she would be the first person I wanted to talk to about it. Looking back, it's not that she gave the very best advice, it's that she truly listened. She took care of my Grandpa as he battled emphysema. She took care of my mother as she has battled mental illness. She never complained. Not one single time. She adored my children. My kids will never have a better grandparent and what is sad is that even at such a young age they know this.

There's a Piggly Wiggly in Ware Shoals. They closed the one on Edisto?
Were you the one who first brought that up at Newport, or did you first learn about that in the van?
Nope, not me. I was the one yelling for Wu Tang Clan, when I am not even a fan of them. Pretty sure you selected the first Dick Cheese song, then this one was recommended & you chose it. I had heard the song before but not the Dick Cheese version.
Good times!

You guys have been the best! I have enjoyed this more than I thought I would; it really helped me smile & laugh throughout a month that was pretty rough. So thanks y'all!
And now for our October BMOTM, I am honored to present to you our very own Captain Canada, Boner!
Artist rendering. May not be true to life. But it probably is.

If you were going to have a guy's baby, who would you pick? My instincts tell me the pack will be lead by this guy
or this guy
In my younger years, the easy answer would have been Scott Weiland hands down, as of right now, your first presumption would be correct. I just think John Dwyer would be a really cool dad.
I actually had to google this. Given the proximity of where I live, I feel like I should have at least heard of this. But I have not, so no I am not. Yet.
Have you ever seen the Ogopogo? If I did, there would be no more Ogopogo.
Have you ever been to Hotel de Glace? How do you stay warm there? I plan to at least check this out someday, but since it would require me to travel to Quebec I the winter, I'd probably just end up going to a Habs game. If I ever do make it there, I'll tell you all about it.
If I come visit you, can you introduce me to Ryan Gosling? I can try, but most famous Canadians leave canada, until the U.S has them deported or something.
How many times a week do you eat Kraft Dinner?
Have you had a McLobster?
How many bunnyhugs do you own?at least 15, tho Ive never never called them that
