Not much is known right now, but here is what we do know: FACT: The album is due to be released on June 23rd.
FACT: The band's lineup is the same, current quintet of Dan Bitney, Jeff Parker, Doug McCombs, John Herndon and John McEntire.
FACT: The tracklist is as follows... 01. High Class Slim Came Floatin' In 02. Prepare Your Coffin 03. Northern Something 04. Gigantes 05. Penumbra 06. Yinxianghechengqi 07. The Fall Of Seven Diamonds Plus One 08. Minors 09. Monument Six One Thousand 10. de Chelly 11. Charteroak Foundation
FACT: You can hear track one over at Stereogum and track two over at Pitchfork. I was impressed much more with the former than with the latter. FACT: There will be a tour, but only a handful of dates have been announced this far. We'll see if the US gets any more.

WTF happened to this thread since yesterday?! We get some random spam post, and someone else mentioning a leak without providing any info on where to find it? Inforoo, you have failed.
I'm jealous. They are FINALLY coming to DC, but it's going to be after I move to NY (where they have no dates yet). I always seem to miss these fellas.
EDIT: Just gave it a listen. Good, not great, but it definitely seems like a grower. While every album seems to be deliberately moving in a new direction, I'm not sure what direction this one is. It seems less unified (but not to say uneven), as if the "theme" of this album is something more superficial than on previous releases. Emphasis on keyboards and danceable rhythms. Standout tracks for me were 1, 5 and 6.
I personally dig numbers 1, 2, 6 (which sounds like a more distorted version of some of Squarepusher's more rock oriented tracks), 8, and 11.
Good album to me, considering I've only heard it a few times so far. But it is indeed a grower... and it should be high up in my favorites by year's end.
I love this band. I really do. I wish they would come somewhere near here... DC's just too far away.
