I just about lost it when Walt and Jesse were talking about their old times. Also thought Jesse was going to open the bag and see Mike's body. THAT WHOLE SCENE. So many feelings.
Man, that was a MUCH better ending to the season that I imagined. No way in hell I thought Walt would come back to his senses and just give it up. Now it actually makes him (somewhat) sympathetic again.

I like crazy walt. I was kind of disappointed that it was going to end on a happy note but then hank finds the book. good shit.
he's in too deep to just give it all up. he still has the deal with the phx crew and now lydia is setting up a connection with the czechs. I think he has to be lying to Skyler because there is no way he believes he can get out that easily.

exactly despite the somewhat happy and sympathetic ending with everyone smiling around the table by the pool, there is a recipe for the perfect storm brewing. Walt might try to work out a deal but find himself in serious trouble. And with no muscle like Mike and his boys around, he poses no physical threat to anyone. He is trapped into cooking. Add in Hank's little bathroom discovery, and we're looking at a very grim 8 episodes for W.W. next year
02/08 Tool 02/11 Jeff Mangum 02/17 of Montreal 02/29 Blind Pilot 03/31 The Naked & The Famous 05/14 M83 and I Break Horses 05/19 Flaming Lips, Young the Giant, Dawes and AWOLNATION 06/07 Bonnaroo 2012!!! 06/13 Roger Waters 07/28 Toadies
Wow... so much has to happen in 8 episodes next season. Running from Hank, the Pheonix guys, Lydia and the Czech connection, Todd and his spider jar.
Great episode though. I love how in the flashback it shows the old captain of DEA talking about how Gus was laughing and drinking wine with him, and then in the end scene they are all laughing and drinking wine.
Also, the painting that Walt points out in the hotel was in his hospital room after his fugue state.

Anyone else think he decides to do quite/walk away from the business after he gets the news that his cancer is back and he only has a short time to live anyway.
for some reason i want to believe that hank will do nothing.
the biggest thing i can't decide is if he will walk out right away and say something or if he will keep "cool" and go straight to work dropping bombs.
i do kind of think in the end it will be a showdown between walt and jesse. jesse wasn't even meant to make it past the first few episodes and now he has become the second major player in the show. i think he's become sort of like walt's lost conscience, which will be his downfall. maybe with jesse sacrificing himself to take walt down.
loved the part where he was checking in the bags, you just knew he thought it was a body.
