I think the machine gun is absolutely for the Czechs or Todd's crew. Possibly the cops, but I think it's pretty easy right now to imagine a path where the Czechs and/or Todd's crew kidnap Skyler or the kids to try to coerce Walt back into cooking. Maybe Skyler and/or the kids end up dead, Walt goes on the run while plotting a suicide mission against the Czechs, and then has a final showdown with Todd's crew and/or the Czechs. What any of this means for Jesse, I have no idea. This post will probably be laughably off-the-mark from what actually happens, since it's kind of predictable, and this is not an easily predictable show.
I guess the ideal outcome for Walter would be if Hank takes down the Czechs. I bet he tries to set that up through Jesse (whose divided loyalty has been a key plot element throughout the series.) So, yeah, maybe the Czechs force Walter back into play by harming, or threatening to harm, Skyler and the kids. Walt then manipulates Jesse to bring Hank into the action.
Of course, Walter's plan STILL has to go wrong in the end. But the bad guy always has to engineer his own destruction...hence the ricin.

I think Walt survives the shootout with the Czechs. he kills Hank with the ricin. He dies of cancer. his family gets to live off the money because Hank never got to tell anyone. Jesse gets away somehow.

Let's forget this idea that Walt has boundaries. He will do anything he can once he's exhausted all non-violent options, and that includes killing Hank.

I would disagree with you on that, but we'll just have to wait and see who is right.

My thinking is...
Walt has really stopped at nothing to keep his family safe, so if he deems Hank's pursuit as endangering his family, he'll cut him out of the picture. If Marie is pushing Hank to investigate that will lose Skylar as a voice of reason, also.
Skylar hit Walt right in the plums with her comment about them not keeping the money if he turns himself in, so I think that might change the way he looks at the whole thing.
I love it when they go into detail about certain unbelievable things on the Breaking Bad podcast that AMC's website hosts. It's always really interesting to hear Gilligan and the writers talk about how some of the most far-fetched stuff gets a ton of research and investigating to see just how plausible it can really be. They've definitely answered a lot of my questions or criticisms on there. Totally worth a listen.
Hey...I just wanted to thank you again for bringing up these podcasts. I've been listening to them on my last few road bike rides, and they're wonderful. They give so many insights into the craft behind the show. Good stuff.

Any specific tidbits or revelations that stand out to you, that you remember? I haven't listened this season yet but want to.

I don't know, man...hard to narrow it down to specifics, because it's all good. A few things, though:
-I got a lump in my throat when Gilligan and the others started reminiscing about Kevin Cordasco, the kid with cancer they dedicated 5/09 to. Very sober; very poignant.
-They come dangerously close to spoilers sometimes. Sometimes Gilligan will start talking about forward plotting, and he'll get specific, and the other participants will start warning him off. Then he always says something like, "Well, that's all hypothetical, of course."
-And on Gilligan: he sounds like the nicest guy you could ever meet.
-I think Bryan Cranston's discussions of the episodes he's directed are interesting because he talks about both what it's like to direct and play in the same scenes.

Yea, Vince Gilligan comes off as a really awesome and down to earth guy. Any interview he does and what I've heard on the podcast really paints him in a great light. He seems so humble and always thankful of everyone else who works with him on the show.

That's (related to) one of the things I love about listening to the DVD commentary. Everyone on there comes across as so genuine, and they all seem so much like they had such a great time working on the show/working with each other.
Some people use the recent posts button when they check the forum. I don't but some do.
This. I wish we didn't have to do it either but people who use the "recent posts" button would usually complain about something from Walking Dead or Game of Thrones being spoiled for them that way. I usually do it right after but once a day or two passes I stop using the spoiler tags.
I threw around the the idea of having a sub-forum for spoiler-iffic TV discussions but I'm not 100% sure if there would be a way to have it NOT show up in the "Recent Posts" page. I'll try to look into it again but there's only a few threads that really use the spoilers like this.

Yeah, I had never really seen him before Breaking Bad (that I recall, anyway). When I started Googling "Jesse Plemons" just now, by the time I got to the "p," the second thing in the list of options was "Jesse Plemons Matt Damon."
