Yeah I think I lost all hope when I found out about AC promoting the shows in Knoxville and Nashville. I still believe we will see the Dead Weather though on Sunday. Judging by how things should shake out, there should be one open slot on Sunday for a final addition to the main stage acts lineup (I think)
I'd love to see a dead weather add. that would make me so happy. we'll see tho
They just announced their first show in NY this week. I think a tour announcement will come the following week coupled with them playing festivals such as Lollapalooza (lineup released April 21st) and then Roo announcing it that Wednesday as the final artist addition for the main stage (April 22nd).
If they play, my money is on Sunday before or after the Decemberists on the Which Stage (probably before I would guess).
Yes, I know off topic. And now back to the Allman Brothers Band...

SO ~ last year, it was this week that they cancelled, and last year on April 15th ~ they announced the "big" announcement of Claypool (woohoo!!!) and WSP. Lets see what tomorrow brings! I haven't lost hope yet!!!
^^^ooohh, that's exciting news...honestly the line-up as is works for me (seriously it could be just phish and I'd be happy, the fact that lots of other bands I love will be there is just icing on the cake!!), but I would love some Claypool and ABB...fingers crossed!!

^^ I was thinking something similar. Seeing Jerry live was different from most anything else I've seen/heard, whatever his level of technical skill may have been. Not saying Warren isn't great, because he is.
So i just noticed that the Derek Trucks Band has added some tour dates to their calendar
06/10 - Apple Valley, MN (SO there!) 06/11 - Fort Wayne, IN
Then a gap until 06/22 when they play in Fargo, ND.
As you can see, Fort Wayne is almost perfectly halfway in between the Twin Cities and Manchester, TN. The Allman Brothers also still have a large gap in their schedule which the Roo falls nicely into. Also, a recent issue of Rolling Stone stated that as the 40th anniversary, this would be the last year of hard touring for the Allman Brothers Band. Add this onto the canceled performance we expected last year; a Sunday pre-headliner gig just fits this all so perfectly I simply can't ignore it. I've got every part of my body crossed I'm not just seeing things. This addition would make my LIFE.
