first-timer. is there anything i should be aware of beyond what they tell me at bonnaroo.com? im really excited to go!
as a first timer, there is ALOT to know, way more than what they tell you on the site. Read this forum intently, go back a few pages, lots of great info is posted here for this year, and for Roos of old.
The best advice I can give any first timer is to leave your inhibitions at the gate. Don't let the heat/weather/people get to you. Roo is what YOU make it.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
This one will be my second. 2006 was my first (a good year to start from what I gather).

Last year I made all the rookie mistakes and still had an amazing time. A couple pieces of advice though. Don't drink too much alcohol your first day. Bring sunglasses and a hat. That's about it.

Roo #4
Tough to choose a favorite Bonnaroo. But I would have to say last year was my favorite because I was the most prepared for the weekend. Every year I bring new stuff to try out at Bonnaroo to make it better. Excited for this year to see what else I can add on.

"Chicago is known as the Windy City, and Montana is called the Big Sky State, so I think that we should somehow combine the two to create the ultimate kite-flying experience. "-Mitch Hedberg
This will be my third one and my wife's first. The first year for me ('05) was all about adjusting and partying. Last year, I saw alot more music that knocked me on my ass. All told, '06 was the better of the two for me, b/c I was more prepared, tent-only, and the endless music I experienced.
