Nick's idea was that he's going to start recording all the dumb, silly bro sh*t that we always overhear at shows and start a blog called brosatshows.com..
i went to Phish at Alpine Valley this past weekend and noticed a new batch of glowstick fun for this year. it's a two colored glowstick- one half is one color and the other is another. i'd seen tri-colored necklaces before, but these were regular sized glowsticks with two different colors and i thought that quite amazing. perhaps it was the effect of the "fun" i had partaken in previously, but these really were cool.
I came across some of these at GOTV too. Although, after using them for drum sticks during Rhythm Devils, they turned from red/blue to a light purple.
^^ Hey Jen, I just won 2 free tix to see Grace Potter at a secret show tomorrow night, can you make it here by 7:00 PM? I need a date! They are taping the show for PBS Live From the Artist's Den ;D
GAH!!! If only I had logged into inforoo in time. I would have teleported. They make those teleportation machines now, right?

Do. It.
YES. Snippets of other people's conversations always slay me.
Don't you just hate it when real like is so overwhelming that you have no time at all for your virtual life?
wow Meg. you did a nice job of summarizing my thoughts. I have not been around on here lately very much...not because I don't want to be but because my "real life" keeps getting in the way!

I haven't even really had time to even do "fly bys" I check FB from my phone while waiting in line at various places - but really haven't been able to do much else
yeah if I could only access inforoo from my blackberry...I hear that there's an iphone app, but that doesn't help me! of course I don't get a signal most of the time at work anyway, and I'm often too busy to log on one of the computers.
oh well, I have a job - many don't, and I love mine...most don't. So I guess I have to make a sacrifice somewhere. Just sorry that it has to be inforoo much of the time. I miss you guys
Conversation between my best friend and his kid, just after he picked him up from his first day of Kindergarten...
Son: "Daddy, is Batman angry or happy?" Dad: "Well, he gets angry when someone is doing something wrong or being mean." Son: "And he is happy when you are good, right?" ..Dad: "Yep." Son: "Daddy, Jesus likes it when Batman is happy"(Nodding his head, wide-eyed and a big grin)
The Boomerang channel said The Banana Splits were coming on but it was Danger Island!
That's because Danger Island was a segment on the Banana Splits Adventure Hour!
And I am extremely jealous of you and your Boomerang channel ways Jenkazoo.
I made YOU jealous? Whoo hoo! Mission accomplished. Now I have to set my DVR to record it so Audrey can watch it. She wasn't digging Danger Island too much.

i'm beginning to wonder ifyou have to go somewhere special to get these. i know last year when i went to Roo i ordered a box of 1,000 glowies, but i don't know if when i order another box if i have to specifically look for the two-colored ones or not. i may do some research to find this out because those things are amazing. they made throwing them at Phish that much more fun.
How the sh*t does Taco Bell get away with selling "margaritas" with NO ALCOHOL?! I want answers!!!
I completely agree! Margaritas are my favorite alcoholic beverage and Taco Bell is just ruining them with the LACK of tequila, JERKS!
Now what I really came to post about is to see if anyone knows where I can find an Umphrey's McGee thread if there is one. A link would be super awesome, and if there is no such thread, what board do I need to start one under? I'm relatively new here (most of my posts have been in The Arcade) and I lost my original board that I frequented (The Bort) so I want to make sure I'm following proper procedure when it comes to choosing a board to post about UM in. I know they've played Roo (every other year it seems) so I just wanted to make sure I go to the right place to look and post.
if you look i'm sure you'd see that nothing's really as it seems and soon enough you'd realize you promise more than you'll provide the substance that we're hoping for will always leave us needing more we're calloused til we cannot feel the only moments that were real

^Good luck . . . although I guess you're already there by now, so it's too late to say that, so . . . hope it went well!
I have nothing to do. I told my supervisor yesterday that I needed more work, and she said that she'd get me something by the end of the day. She didn't, and now we are halfway through today. How long do I wait before I remind her that I need something to do?

Dear Co-Workers,
I'm always HAPPY to help you, in fact, that is a BIG part of what the owners happen to pay me to do here...
BUT, I don't care how urgent you "think" your question is? Rather than continuing to shovel it in while you talk, simply allowing yourself a mere 10 seconds to chew and swallow your food before spitting all of your percieved "urgencies" at me??
Yeah, THAT is just basic 'effing manners, and your mother apparently sucked
So, anyway, Nick's idea was that he's going to start recording all the dumb, silly bro sh*t that we always overhear at shows and start a blog called brosatshows.com. That sounded like a good idea to me at the time, and mulling it over this morning, I still think it does. That's all.
I would 100% read that and contribute as well. A Coco idea!
How do words like badonkadonk enter the English lexicon? It's fascinating to me. To be clear, I'm not against the usage of the word(not that I could ever use it without sounding lame and It's out of style anyway). It's just strange to me. The word has a certain rhythm that matches it's meaning too!
I guess what perplexes me is the origin. If I were the first person to say, "Hey guys, check out that rocking badonkadonk." I'm pretty sure everyone around me would think that I was retarded. Yet somehow this word went from localized slang, to common usage, to a Leno-y song by a Leno-y country singer. I find it fascinating.
