As some of you may know, I manage a movie theatre for one of the major movie theatre chains (Regal). Just like many of the major theatre chains, we are also raising money for various children charities (listed below).
Besides the customers, we go around asking business to make a donation of at least $200 , which entitles them to advertise in that specific local theatre and have their name on a giant gold star (they are 3 - 4 times the size of the ones we have customers sign their names on) Even though we (Inforoo) is not a business, I thought it would be a great idea if I ask the inforoosters on the board if they would be willing to donate anything (if you want to donate .25 be my guest) and have our name on the star. The time line for this will be July 17th for us to raise money, but I think we can raise at least $200 from the board before then.
If you are willing to donate , then PM me and I will give you the paypal information. Also, please give me your board message board and name (first name is ok) if you would like to have your name personally on the star and I will post a pic of the star once the fund-raising is finished. I am going to do fund-raising updates to keep everyone posted where we are at with our goal.
Below is a pic I took of one old theatre gang with the stars (the smaller ones) to give you an idea what they look like and a listing of charities they money goes to. If there is any more information that you need just message me and I will get it out to you.
