Newton Faulkner > Back Door Slam > (open) > Lez Zeppelin / DSO / VIP party band...
Friday
Drive by Truckers / Cornmeal / DSO > Les Claypool > Willie > Chris Rock (possibly from VIP) > Metallica > MMJ (not missing a minute of this set... will be really pissed if something cool happens at Superjam) > Bisco
Saturday
Sharon Jones > Gogol Bordello > Iron & Wine > BB King > Kanye > Pearl Jam > Sigur Ros > Ghostland
Sunday
Yonder Mountain String > Robert Randolph > Robert Plant > Death Cab > Widespread
What's worth seeing before 6:00 on Sunday? I've seen Rogue Wave before and they were ok. I've seen OAR before and they're not my style. I know some Ladytron and Aimee Mann but not sure how they are live. I'm sure there are a lot of Robert Randolph fans here and that's a must-see for a lot of people. If there's anything thrilling though that I should look into, please recommend. I like those "hidden gems" (of course they're totally obvious to some people who are fans) to find at festivals, so it's not that I mind or anything right now that I don't know enough to be excited about early Sunday yet.
I don't know about anyone else, but Robert Randolph doing a Sunday early show that his manager claims will be "epic" should be Good Times.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

Only including what I know I want to check out already today, at this moment, my initial plan in looking this over... to be changed constantly at any given minute only to be torn to shreds I'm sure once it's all really happening
Friday Cornmeal>Umph>BlueGrassAS>Raconteurs>Willie>ChrisRock>Metallica>!!!MMJ!!! >and maybe the Superjam will still be rawkin' a little while when MMJ is done?
Saturday Little Feat>>Gogol/Mastadon/Cat Power>BB King>Levon Helm>Pearl Jam>Phil/Ghostland/Sigur Ros
Sunday Robert Randolph>Yonder Mountain>Special Accoustic Performance>Robert Plant>Derek Trucks>Wander the Campgrounds One Last Time
I can't get the damn schedule to print out right. Is there a pdf anywhere to be found? That will really suck if PJ only plays for two hours...they play longer than that on an average day. Oh well, some PJ is better than no PJ at all. Doesn't look like I will have many conflicts, if any.
Broken Social Scene vs. Death Cab for Cutie (I thought Sunday looked alright, then noticed I hadn't found BSS yet... NOOOO!)
Yeah, I really don't know what I'm going to do here. . . but as it's my *only* conflict, I think I'll live.
On top of the fact that this is against Plant/Krauss... Biggest conflict hands down
Also, MMJ vs. Superjam (though this is no conflict for me as MMJ takes precedent, unless of course they announce Waits showing up and then all heckfire will break loose)
And, to be quite honest, I think Saturday late night is pretty weak. In my opinion, there's no debate about seeing Sigur Ros. I think their tent is gonna be PACKED!!! (with 3 exclamation points). Though, Lesh will divide the crowd up, I don't know how I feel about 4 hours of Wookfest 2008 (as I'm deeming the Lesh set). No offense to folks out there, but that Lesh set is going to be populated with some crazies (but then again, isn't that what Bonnaroo is all about?).

Oh I know, in fact I already got one. I'm actually not anti-Phil, I just think 4 hours is a little excessive. I mean, even Pearl Jam only got 2 hours. I'll probably end up checking out the end of Phil's set after Sigur Ros.

Friday: The Fiery Furnaces > Umphrey's McGee > Les Claypool > The Raconteurs > Willie Nelson > Chris Rock > Metallica > MMJ > Disco Biscuits

well i can guarantee PJ will play longer, and phil will start late...
Biggest conflicts for me are: Friday late-night (MMJ vs. MSTRKRFT vs. Tiesto vs. Disco Biscuits vs. Superjam... arrrgh!) Plant + Krauss vs. Death Cab The Raconteurs vs. Les Claypool vs. !!!
So far, my schedule looks something like this: (must-sees in bold, the rest is subject to change at the drop of a hat. All other times, I'll just be playing it by ear, so to speak)
Thursday: MGMT --> Battles --> Vampire Weekend
Friday: Minus the Bear --> Les Claypool/Raconteurs/!!! decision (leaning toward !!!) --> Willie Nelson or MIA --> Chris Rock --> Metallica (for a little while, then I might check out one of the smaller acts or get a good spot for late-night) --> MMJ/MSTRKRFT/Tiesto/Bisco/Superjam decision (leaning toward MSTRKRFT and MMJ)
Saturday: Gogol Bordello --> BB King --> Jack Johnson or Kanye West (leaning toward Kanye) --> Pearl Jam --> Sigur Ros
Sunday: OAR --> Plant and Krauss (for an hour or so) --> Death Cab for Cutie --> WSP

those 4 hours of phil will be epic. i promise you that.
Really Becca? I do trust your opinion, and will definitely have to check out part of that set now, but 4 hours? That seems a bit excessive. MMJ should have received equal bearing, IMO, but maybe that's personal bias. And certainly PJ should have as well (not necessarily a full 4 hours, but more than just the 2), particularly when they are listed as the #1 band on the bill.
