Vampire Weekend Erykah Badu Drive By Truckers British Sea Power Mountain Goats What Made Milwaukee Famous Van Hunt Malkmus Gnarls Barkley Dengue Fever
The Vampire Weekend is the only one that really knocks me out so far (usually there are a few of those by mid-March). The Badu has a Part II coming in the summer and part of my regard for it is anticipation of that. I left it off my list because I don't want to pull a Maxim, but based on the two singles I'm thinking I will love the Lyrics Born due in April.

Tapes n' Tapes new one,
What what whaaat?
I've been out of the loop....when did this leak? Any chance you could give a brief rundown? They're playing up in Detroit in a month or so, I haven't gotten tickets yet, but I'm planning on it.

It's a slow burner. I've only just recently acquired it. The first time through, I thought it wasn't nearly as good as The Loon. There were only a couple songs that stood out to me. But as I've continued to listen, it's been growing on me, and I like all the songs. It's got a different feel to it, but it sounds like Tapes n Tapes for sure.
Cloud Cult - feel good ghosts this is now by far my fav cloud cult albums its basically everything i liked from all the other albums but on one cd, its great. get it get it
Black Mountain - In The Future Ghostland Observatory -Robotique Majestique Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts The Apes - Ghost Games The Mars Volta - The Bedlam In Goliat Vampire Weekend - Vampire Weekend
Those are the only albums from this year that I've listened to. Of those, I love the new NIN, as well as the new TMW. Vampire Weekend hasn't struck me yet, I don't dislike it at all, just hasn't clicked with me. The Apes was pretty good, as was the new Ghostland Observatory.
Give me more time to check out more albums and let Ghosts sink in... right now it's between The Bedlam and Ghosts.
Danbird, were you the one who mentioned Besnard Lakes last year, or was that aquarium? This Bon Iver album kinda reminds me of them.
That was probably AD, cause I think I found out about Besnard Lakes from him too. Bon Iver kinda reminds me of an acoustic TV on the Radio or something. I dunno. I do know that I have to go see them ASAP.
Listened to Bon Iver just recently, as well (using this thread as a guide to listen to more new music) and I've gotta say that I'm digging it, pretty thoroughly.

the evangelicals- the evening descends stephen malkmus- real emotional trash times new viking- rip it off and from what i heard the other night at the YLT/MMJ show- Evil Urges is gonna kill this year
"Love need not be a command nor faith a dictum. I am my own god. We are here to unlearn the teachings of the church, state, and our educational system. We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us." — Charles Bukowski
Had no idea Black Keys had a new one... I'll check that out, as well.... Missed them in favor for The Roots, last year, but they are a very solid group.
