Woke up at 1:44 last night with The Smiths 'Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want' rattling around:
Good times for a change See, the luck Ive had Can make a good man Turn bad
So please please please Let me, let me, let me Let me get what I want This time
Havent had a dream in a long time See, the life Ive had Can make a good man bad
So for once in my life Let me get what I want Lord knows, it would be the first time Lord knows, it would be the first time
Some might remember this as the 'Ducky crying in the rain' song from Pretty in Pink. Don't ask me why it got stuck in my head last night... my best guess is a delayed reaction to some blotter I took back in '87...

I was reading this thread and put my headphones back on while itunes had been running for a few hours while I was actually working. The funny thing is Long Haired Child was playing. WEIRD.
"Umberella".... Can't remember the name of the chick who does that song, but the video was on last night and I was in a trance... "Under my umberella, ella, ella, ella, eh eh, Under my umberella, ella ella eh eh." Please tell me someone else has heard this song.

OMG that song was in my head for a entire weekend...
Anyone got some love for "Pocket Full of Kryptonite"??
I love that album.....but unfortunately that's not what's stuck in my head. What is is that god damn Maroon 5 song. IT'S F*CKING EVERYWHERE!!!! I hear it on the radio everyday at work and then I came home tonight and they were playing it on Leno. DAMN THEM!!!!

ok so i had to put this on here to see if anyone can sympathize with me, I have the freakin outback song in my head... and it keeps switching from the original (Of Montreal's Wrath Pinned to the mist and other games) to the outback jingle virsion and it is annoying as hell... don't get me wrong I love my athens boys Of Montreal... but seriously... did they have to sell out to a chain restaurant so that the song would get stuck in my head on a regular basis
"lets go outback tonight, lets pretend we're in anctarctica, lets pretend we don't exist"... like what the crap, I find myself wandering around the house singing this outloud!

Yeah I hear that damn commercial like 5 times everyday at work. When I hear the original all I can think of is the commercial. I guess if you're gonna sell out, it's best to sell out somewhere that has good steak and ribs
Thank god I haven't heard that Maroon 5 song today.....yet. I've got The Bees-End of the Street stuck in my head today. I'll take anything over Maroon 5 at this point.

Today was Yonder Mountain String Band - Two Hits and the Joint Turned Brown
I listened to a live show of theirs my friend went to in CA and the version of that they did was amazing, and the song is very infectious on my brain...
I had a Franz Ferdinand song (don't remember which one, please don't try to remind me) for a week and a half. I thought I was going to have to go in and have part of my brain removed. But I read somewhere on the internet to hum the song "The Entertainer" to get an earworm out, and for some reason it works every time!
I also read during my earworm removal research, that many times the reason a song gets stuck is because it's the last song you heard and/or you only heard part of it and your brain wants to "finish" it. Sometimes you can listen to the whole song and get it out, but that never worked for me.
