It's too bad that the internet doesn't exist so there's no way of you possibly looking up more information about new bands because you haven't heard of them. Oh wait, the internet does exist. Maybe instead of just dismissing bands you haven't heard of as some sort of posturing, maybe they are actually just bands I like.
And I'll agree that Ween's new album will probably be the best album of the year.
Sorry for trying to make a comprehensive list of what I thought were the top twenty best albums of the year so far. I must be one of those stupid jackass "oh no my indie band actually has more people listening than me and thier girlfriends" types or something... I'll go be a "cool" cr**** somewhere else I guess.

John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
this is from another board, but it was the same question as here .. i read lists like this and wonder if i am that out of touch with new music, or people like this are just trying to be "cool" cr****
As a youngin, I can tell you that those people are doing that to act cool. Sometimes I think people are making nuts up sometimes because the bands they say are so obscure that I don't know who they are.
Or they just listen to different bands than you. It's pretty simple. Your logic is flawed and baseless.
So yeah, I've got to redo my top albums of the year list...
Right now it's an honest to God toss up between 4 albums that I love. Never have I had a harder time saying which one is better, worse, or the best. With that, here they are in no order at all:

For me thus far, right now, gotta put these up there no particular order...... possibly more to be added later..... Explosions in the Sky - "All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone" Radiohead - "In Rainbows" -man it hasn't been long but it is literally the only thing I have listened to for about 25 hours The White Stripes - "Icky Thump"
